    Retrofit hitch on 2019 Q7 55?

    Hi:

Bought a 2019 Q7 55 Premium Plus 3.0 for my wife. It does not have the towing package installed, but does have "trailer hitch preparation (includes brake controller wiring)"

What is the most economical., but well-integrated way to do this? I don't want to cut and splice wiring! It is $2000 at my local audi dealer to add!
    A) Buy the kit for $1080, install myself, pay the dealer to set the coding options
A.1) If I don't have the kick-to-open sensor (I don't), do I still need to cut the factory valance to make room for the receiver?
    B) Buy just the trailer module and install it, along with an aftermarket hitch - any part numbers here would be appreciated - cannot find them on parts.audiusa.com, except the full 4M0803881A kit
    C) other options?

    Thanks,

    Dave

I just went to Uhaul, paid them $280 and got a 2" clean hitch install

I bought hitch installation kit for 2021 Audi Q7. It came with hitch, bolts, module, wiring, socket and kick to open frame. I have to cut only lower diffuser or I just might go with SQ7 diffuser w/hitch already pre-cut.
Where can I get SVM code? I have ODIS diagnostics software.

Did you find the brake controller wiring on your q7? If so, is it behind the hood latch? I cannot find mine near the steering column and we have the oem tow package that came with . It’s a 2023 q7
