Try searching for AZ thread "Check battery status with vag-com (quite useful)".

On OBD11 go Can gateway and Live data. From there you can search battery current, battery voltage, battery charge status (%) and usable battery charge (Ah). For recoding the battery, On can gateway -> adaptation there is submenu "Battery adaptation" where you define the new battery Ah rating. Adjust corresponding to the new battery and modify the serial number so (I just +1 to the end) and hit write.

Yeah, thanks, but VCDS doesn't show "MEASURE BLOCKS" AFTER 19 Can Gateway

Here is a link to the Ross-Tech wiki for replacing the battery. I am not sure if this was written based off the older or newer VAG-COM though. There was a change a few years back with VAG-COM and a lot of the older processes changed which is why you don't see the "blocks" now. At least that is my understanding with VAG-COM. I will fully admit I am still a slightly educated novice with VAG-COM

Sorry to threadjack here but question on replacing my battery; I was able to code the BEM number with going up 1 number and change the manufacturer. My problem is I have a 100ah battery and there’s no selection for 100. It’s either 95 or 105. VCDS says it would accept unknown but it wouldn’t change that value. Do I leave it at 95ah instead of going over the new battery at 105ah?

There are AZ threads about this (for example recent thread "Which battery"). In the US, three manufacturers make all the batteries sold under many brands. Some of the cars are shipped from Audi with AGM, some with flooded; most folk prefer AGM. The three principle physical sizes are H7, H8 and H9. Most folk suggest getting the largest battery that physically fits. There are a few folk that get special light weight batteries for racing.
