Anyone install a DieHard H8 or H9 AGM battery? What did you do for coding?

Replacing my battery but looking to go with an AGM battery from Advance since it's cheaper than the OEM battery. Currently have an OEM H9 battery that I installed maybe 5 years ago. Coding it was easy since it has the BEM codes. However, for the AGM batteries without BEM codes, how did you guys code them? Trying to decide between the H8 and H9. The H8 is 95 Ah and the h9 is 100 Ah. The OEM H9 is 110 Ah. Can you I use the current coding or should I use a code that is less than 100 Ah for the new AGM battery?

I went through the same thing recently; I even went as far as sourcing a German battery that I ultimately bought from Advance. I saw H9-AGM's also coming out of Mexico, Korea, and Tennessee.

Here is my thread. I coded the 100Ah H9 to 95Ah via OBD11 as there is no 100Ah dropdown selection in either OBD11 or VDCS:

B8 doesn't use a UDS protocol J533. The adaptation is a join of battery part number, battery vendor, and battery serial. There is no battery capacity value.

For the part number, and there's a part number for a H8 AGM (000 915 105 CE) and a H9 AGM (000 915 105 CF). Audi OE AGMs would be 92Ah H8 and 105Ah H9. Yes, the DieHard Platinum AGM H9 seems a little under the industry spec Ah for H9 AGM, but it's same enough for the purpose. Just use the CF part number.

I also never found a German H8-AGM. I only found Gold H8's (Lead-Acid) from Germany; every Platinum H8-AGM I saw in store at both Autozone and Advance was manufactured in Mexico.

Just replaced my stock battery with H8 Diehard a few months ago. See the referenced thread on it, thanks to SMAC for his insight and input.
