Unitronic stage 1+ installed

Big Thanks to AX Performance! Unitronic stage 1+ was installed today. All I can say is it’s a night and day difference. The boost comes on earlier and hits harder. Pulls so much more in higher gears. I was a little disappointed in the power going from Dinan tuned f90 comp to the RS7. This is a game changer. So much power everywhere. And I have the cable and file and can load them
myself at home. Can’t wait to get an intake and downpipes. Here are a couple of pics.

Awesome ride and great color! I have been loving my Stage 1+ tune as well. It definitely makes the car feel more nimble and couldn't be more pleased.

So do I understand this correctly? With the uniconnect cable one can un flash the car for dealer services etc? So tempted to do a tune but warranty issues are in the back of my mind. I rarely have enough road to open up the car but interested in the improvement in drivability etc. Also noticed improvement in mpg on website, I’m sure this would be negated by worse driving habits. I don’t care about mpg just curious

The difference in throttle response is worth it alone. The car feels so much more responsive than it did stock. So much more playful.

The dealer will still see the counter for flashes and when it doesn’t sync up that another dealer did it you’re done. Your only juice is a piggyback like a jb4 to avoid dealer detection.

I agree with Rick, worth it just for the throttle response and overall gear shifts. As stated in other threads, JB4 and any modification can flag a TD1. The ease of Unitronic and customer support swayed my decision to go with them.

Finally got the Unitronic Stage 1+ installed yesterday with Uniconnect and my god its so much better than stock. The engine purrs and revs more, the torque is limitless and the car just pulls like a bullet train. The response is more linear and faster than the stock. No lag or delay. The whole car is more awake in dynamic and RS modes. I was getting bored with the stock feel and this just livens it up. I am so happy I finally did it!

The engine purrs and revs more, the torque is limitless and the car just pulls like a bullet train. The response is more linear and faster than the stock. No lag or delay. The whole car is more awake in dynamic and RS modes. I was getting bored with the stock feel and this just livens it up. I am so happy I finally did it!

Glad you took the plunge...still makes my work commute so much better than stock! I am sure you are enjoying the torque, especially in dynamic mode!

Stage 1+ is definitely a game changer indeed on this car...

I went Eventuri + Unitronic Stage 1+...Looking forward to going Stage 2 soon once they have their DP on the market. @John@Unitronic, please keep me on the list for when your DP comes out!

I have had the Eventuri intake for a while now soon after the tune, and of course the Unitronic wasn’t available at the time. The Unitronic looks like a nice unit. I am on the fence if I would do it again though, as it really didn’t add much other than some sound. I did the install myself, which was a pain getting access to the inlet screws.

Good to know. I'll hold off on this then. I was itching to get some more air flow into my engine and figured it wouldn't hurt.

How was the process installing with uniconnect? I was waiting for a walkthrough video you YouTube before ordering. I don’t want to get in the middle of the process and not have the right directions

Its so easy. The uniconnect software will guide you through every step once you plug it into the obd port. Took only 20 minutes to program the RS7. I was worried it would be harder but its not. I highly recommend the Stage 1+. I got the carbon intake from unitronic and will have that installed soon.
