2019 Q7 Questions

Just picked up a 2019 Premium Plus 3.0t CPO. Two questions…

1. How do I get the ambient lighting to change colors?

2. How can I add remote start to it? I dont want any aftermarket hacking done to get it tho?

1. I dont think ambient lighting color change is a thing on the 4M platform. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

2. As for the remote start I came across the following kit, however, I have not used it myself or have experience with it. Maybe someone else is able to chime in and vouch for it

Thanks…I was hoping there was a way to “unlock” color change. I have ambient light package on truck but no color options. But for certain things, the colors change so I know the LEDs are capable of changing. I drive an S7 and there are plenty of threads on VAG-COM cheats to do but cant find much on the Q7.

I belive only prestige can change ambient colors.

what trim level do you have?

i have a 19 premium plus, the ambient light doesnt change color only the prestige has that option

for remote start, i got the 12volt solutions few months i got the q7, its a plug and play system and you do end up losing a keyfob.
had it for 2 years and works great in the summer and winter when you want to cool or heat up the car before driving off.
the whole thing plugs in the rear left in the truck compartment area. pretty simple installation.
only down side of it is how far you end up parking your car and it doesnt receive the signal of the keyfob when you press the lock button (3times) to get the car to remote-start, i park my car in front of my house and drive and it doesnt have much issues.
