AE Leather Interior?

So, I am dead-set on getting the Contour seats for an RS6. Only issue is that I think I want a lighter color interior, such as Havana Brown or Cognac, rather than black. But the ONLY way to get brown leather interior with Contour seats is to spring for the AE interior...at approx $6K extra. (Don't even get me started on the fact that unlike many other models, the RS6 only gets one leather color in the upgraded seats...) Paint color will be Daytona Grey or Florett Silver...leaning towards Daytona.

Please try to talk some sense into me (pro or con) about whether I should get a brown interior. The sole real reason is that I think the black interior feels a bit too close/claustrophobic, and I think brown will make it a little airier. OK, secondary reason is that it looks cool and has a bit more contrast...less dark monotone, IMO. But is it really worth $6K extra?

We love our Cognac interior and have since only specced brown interiors in all cars moving forward.
I dunno if it makes the cabin more "airey" though. Just looks good, more contrast, less monotone.
Not sure I'd pay for AE just to get Cognac + Contour seats though.

Do it : ) $6K (relative to total price of the car) isn't a lot to have something exactly how you want it, and you spend so much time inside the car. Would do a different brown (e.g. Havana as you mentioned) rather than Cognac, as Cognac is available on the sports seats (might as well get something actually "exclusive"), and I think would work better with sliver if you go that route (will look great with Daytona too).

I ordered Contour seats with AE Cognac Brown. Also, I ordered AE paint. I am just waiting for an allocation. My current RS6 has cognac brown seats and love them.

I wanted to do this. I just got out of a 2013 s8 and the massaging seats were clutch of after a long physically taxing day. The cost was just too much for seats that look like they’re from 10 years ago. In my s8, they had the same quilted pattern you would expect from a car of this stature. Disappointed Audi wouldn’t do it on their own. Not gonna lie, praying I don’t miss them as much as I think I will.
