I've poured through a few of the forum posts and have disabled seatbelt chime, changed comfort flash count to 4 among a few others.

Here are some of the notes I took along the way, and apologies to those wonderful people who originally posted the coding steps but I didn't take details and therefore can't acknowledge their efforts, but I do appreciate it

    Comfort turn signal:
46/Control Module System Comfort > Adaptation > Turn Signal Control: Freeway flashing cycles > 4 (old value 3)

    RS rear light animation:
Hood open, parking brake on, ignition on
    STG 46, byte 37, bit 4 on?
Or STG 46, text coding: SSBR_Variante from "0" on „1”.

Needle Sweep: (was already enabled in my MY21 SQ7)
17/Dash Board > Long Coding* > Byte 1, Bit 0 ON (checked) (old value: OFF (unchecked))

Enable ACC Default Distance In MMI (VCDS 16.6 or newer required) - Allows you set the default distance

    1. Auto Dist. Reg 13
    2. Adaptation - 10
    3. Select "Distance basic setting option" in dropdown
    4. Select "On" from New value drop down

    Module 16/Steering Column Electronics
    Adaptation
    Steering wheel heater
34 -- default setting It has been reported elsewhere that anything above 36 can cause damage. Be careful!

    Disable seat belt chime
    1. Instruments 17
    2. Adaption 10
    3. In drop down menu choose Deactivate seat belt chime
    4. Change Deactivate seat belt from NO to YES

G Force Meter (not functional in my MY21 SQ7)
Click bottom right of the scan button
    17 - Instruments
    Long Coding
    Acceleration
    On
    Click the tick to save.

Torque & power dials (not functional in my MY21 SQ7)
Click bottom right of the scan button
    17 - Instruments
    Long Coding
    Engine data display
    On
    Click the tick to save.

Trailer Assist - I haven't tested this one yet, but multiple reports of it working
Please also note that in order for the Trailer Assist to work, you must also have the Maneuvering Assist coded properly. It does not matter which one you code first. Here are the steps:

    Maneuvering Assist:

09 Central Electrics > adaptation > maneuvering brake function > activated

    44 Steering Assistance > long coding > byte 2, bit 1 (active)

A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 44 > bit 5 (MA Steering Active)

A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 44 > bit 6 (MA Braking Active)

A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 44 > bit 7 (MA Maneuver assist installed)

    19 Gateway > adaptation > installation list > parking assistance > coded

Important note: Make sure to code and swipe the installation button at the same time for the following two steps since they apply to left and right brakes and must be coded the same:

    03 Brakes > long coding > byte 10 > bit 0 > active

    03 Brakes > long coding > byte 24 > bit 7 > active

    Trailer Assist:

44 Steering Assistance > long coding > byte 1, bit 2 (trailer maneuver assist active)

    46 Comfort System > long coding > byte 4 > bit 7 (trailer monitoring)

    09 Central Electrics > long coding > byte 28 > bit 7 (ARA installed)

A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 15, bit 4 (FW ARA BCM installed)

A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 54 > bit 6 (TMA trailer maneuver assist installed)

A5 Driver Assistance > long coding > byte 54 > bit 7 (TMA trailer maneuver assist image processing installed)

5F Multimedia > Adaptation > Car Function Adaptations Gen 2 > menu display trailer assistant > activated

5F Multimedia > Adaptation > Car Function Adaptations Gen 2 > menu display trailer assistant over threshold high > activated

    5F Multimedia > Adaptation > Car Function List BAP Gen 2 > trailer assistant 0x36 > activated

5F Multimedia > Adaptation > Car Function List BAP Gen 2 > trailer assistant msg bus 0x36 > terminal 15

IF YOU HAVE REAR WHEEL STEERING YOU NEED TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL STEP:

09 Central Electrics > long coding > rear axle steering > Hal not available

Regarding the rear wheel steering setting, I intend to turn this to "not available" when trailering and to "available" when not trailering.

    Module 46/Control Module Comfort System
    Coding
    auto_lock_not_at_mmi (4th from last entry)
change from Active to Not Active

5F Multimedia > Adaptations > Locked Menu Contents...and then change everything in there to non blocked.

    Auto Unlock
    Module 46
    Coding:
    automatic_opening: active
    automatic_closing: active
    keyless_light_illumination: active
    adaptations:
    Personalized_settings_vehicle: Keyless_access_automatic_open: active

    Acceleration timer

Module 17 Instruments > Adaptations > IDE11472-MAS18773-Configuration of displayable contents-Acceleration measurement > Change to readout.

you can also change MMI startup screen to display SQ7 logo:
in module 5F long coding, change "byte_18_Screenings" from 27 to 28, reboot MMI.

    Default ACC distance

    1. Module 13 (Auto Dist. Regulation)
    2. Security Access
    3. Enter Code "20103"
    4. Do It
    5. It should say "Security Code Accepted"
    6. Go into Adaptation (Still in Module 13)
    7. Scroll through channel list to "Distance basic setting option"
    8. Stored Value should be "Off" (Default)
    9. Set New Value to "On"
    10. Do It
    11. Exit
    12. Reboot MMI using Reboot method in top post of this thread.

    1. Module CA - Sunroof
    2. Security Access
    3. Enter Code "20103" (you may be able to make this change without needing the security code)
    4. Adaption
    5. Find channel "IDE09451-MAS08937-Travel path-Sliding Position: intermed. pos."
    6. Value should be "Active"
    7. Change to "Not Active"
    8. Do It

OBDeleven has an app to disable the amber side markers on Q8.
Anyone enable Scandinavian driving lights (tail lights on at all times)? That way you should get an animation on every lock and unlock (at least that’s how it works on my RSQ8).

Does anyone have more updates to this?
    1) Specifically wondering if there is any ROW coding for keyfob behavior. I want to be able to close the hatch from the keyfob without needing to be directly behind the vehicle. I was able to do this with previous Audi's.

    2) Is it possible to code the headlight & taillight animation in a premium plus?

Just started a couple days ago that Audi Connect web services keep installing every time I get in the car. Annoying. I know they aren't pushing new updates 10 times a day. I can't find a setting to disable updates for this. Is that possible? I still want navigation maps to auto-update.

Also is there a special trick to using the keyfob to open the windows? It works maybe 50% of the time for me. Never had any trouble using it in my previous 4 Audi's, but this is the first one where the feature was "native" and didn't require VAG-COM coding to enable.

FWIW, I'm one-month into a MY2020. It works for me, but only when I'm *really* close to the vehicle - within five feet or so. At that, it occasionally takes two or three tries. I put a fresh battery in my fob, and I also disabled, ignition-cycled, then reenabled the feature within MMI. Same behavior.

Audi Connect was also a bit of a pain, and I had to reach out to Kore Wireless directly for assistance. Took them a day to confirm the VIN, but it's worked great since then. Not sure if your issue is in any way related, but figured I'd mention it.

I'm still a bit undecided on purchasing VCDS vs. OBDeleven, or for that matter just being happy with everything as-is. Amazing vehicle and I smile like a lunatic with every drive.

Any ideas? I couldn't get this one to work: Comfort turn signal:

Figured it out with Ross Tech's help. In VCDS, had to disable the "Bypass DoIP" option.

Sorry, as I mentioned, I didn't write the steps, they were copied from various sources that I noted down.
Yes, module 46 is the comfort module, but that does control other light functions such as soft touch indicator flashes.

On my latest version of VCDS bit 4 does not have a check box. instead it has a drop down menu for bit 4-7 with SSBR_Variant and on the right side there is a box where it says 00. Do I enter 01 in that box? On the latest version of VCDS software is entering 01 the same as ticking the box?

    Thoughts from @Sierra055 or Jimminez@Nemesis ?

Just stepped into an SQ7 on this end and have to admit that I’m actually glad that I didn’t pull the trigger on a new 8Y RS3 that had me from the first lament that I laid eyes on it as it sat there just smiling under the showroom light. This SQ is quite the catch. Only COMPLAIN thus far… The hideous, reverse halogen bulbs!!!!!!!! No way in F’N hell that such a gorgeous car (not to mention that if you’re paying for an over $100,000.00+ price tag on a prestige model, this shouldn’t be such an issue) shall be equipped with ANYTHING halogen when it comes to lighting! Has anyone with a Q7/SQ7 had a halogen to LED reverse light bulb swap yet?! If so, what’d you end up going with?! There’re a ton of off brands out there and it could be a hit or miss when it comes to the dreadful error code on the dash. Thanks tons in advance!

Has anyone ever tried anything out of this list (4M) on their 4M.5 S/Q7?! If not, does anyone have a link to a clean list that’ll show every single mod’ discovered up until now. Thanks!

    2021 sq7 vagcom mods?

For the comfort turn signal I was able to get it to go up to 5 signals (from the factory 3) by simply typing in 5 (no other number above that will work, I tried 6 and 7, etc. and it wouldn’t accept them) rather than the 4 that everyone’s mentioning on here. I mean 5 beats 4 if you ask me.

Also, by “disabling” the DRL wink you’ll ALWAYS have your taillights on (I personally wouldn’t stress those things out 24/7, guess it’s just a mental thing for me in order to save their lifespan) just the way that it’s also set up for the B9 platform when you disable this feature on that platform as well. Just a FYI. Cheers!

I spent some time with making some of the changes within the list that was shared within this post last night.

    -Comfort blinker cycle-count change from 3, to 4, or 5 - works
-Dash speedometer/ RPM gauge sweep - works
-Seat belt chime disable - works
-Heated steering wheel temp raise - seems to work - only drove 10 miles with it on this morning, so I'm still evaluating for any increased temp change.

All the above setting changes went fairly smooth and were easily located/ found within VAG-COM.

I did try to change logo to show the "SQ7" logo appear upon ignition startup, but the instructions seem to be wrong, as I couldn't find the ability to change the setting from "27 to 28" It simply wouldn't provide me with any type of setting change, let alone did I see "27" anywhere.

Here's what I spent a lot of time on with no results:

    RS rear light animation:
Hood open, parking brake on, ignition on
    STG 46, byte 37, bit 4 on?
Or STG 46, text coding: SSBR_Variante from "0" on „1”.

I don't see the ability to change anything about "Bit 4" within VAG-COM, unless I simply don't know how to do that.

I wasn't able to change SSBR_Variante from "0 to 1", as I don't see the ability to do so, again, unless I simply don't know how to do that.

VAG-COM has labeled these as "intelligent tail light-left" & "intelligent tail light-right"

My SQ7 is a 2020 Premium Plus with LED Matrix headlights. After having changed the above settings by checking and unchecking the bit boxes, and having searched online, I've come to the possible conclusion that unless you have the Laser Headlights system, you won't have the ability to turn on the tail light animation with an SQ7 that is equipped with the factory LED Matrix headlights. From there, the only way to acquire the Laser Headlights, is when you order an SQ7 with the Prestige Package and the Laser Headlight system. So NO animated tail lights for Premium Plus SQ7s? Am I correct with that assessment?

It begs the question, Does anyone have an SQ7 with Premium Plus package and has the animated tail lights, and if so, what model year?

If I'm wrong about the above, and someone has been able to successfully turn "on" the animated tail lights, what is the correct process?

Also, what does the "Sunroof opening wind noise" option/ change exactly do?

To answer your question toward the end, there. From factory, when you slide the sunroof open with the flick (not holding your finger there for a few seconds to slide it open but rather flicking the button back just once) of the button it’ll stop at a certain point in order to reduce interior noise from the wind but if you do this mod, you’ll get it to slide open all the way back until the maximum opening’s been reached and that way you won’t have to flick that button a second time to open it all the way past the initial first flick. If that makes any sense.

Recently picked up a 2024 SQ7 and wanted to know if anyone with a 2024 model was able to get the vagcom to work. Both Carista and OBD11 apps do not work yet.
    Current: 2024 SQ7, 2021 RS5

I can't get the last two items below to work. When changing the coding for the brakes, I set the bits referenced to "1", and hit enter, exit the long coding helper and click "Do It" and the VCDS software responds:
"Coding rejected Error 13: Incorrect message length or invalid format"
    Current Coding: 50AA6A9631A22B9793A35C965C8216E2F43A890A568CD4C93A 3A68472F5C91
    New Coding: 50AA6A9631A22B9793A3DC965C8216E2F43A890A568CD4C93B 3A68472F5C91

I enabled security access for coding, hood open, ACC on car not running, parking brake set.

    Am I missing something?

I do see Maneuver assist in the Parking aid menu now but there are diagonal red slash lines through each tire on the vehicle image when backing up. I have not tried to let it hit an obstacle to see if it works.

Have you come across an updated list of tweaks for these platforms?! If so, if you don’t mind sharing a link.

Yes anything 2019 and newer needs a updated vcds. They will give you credit for yours if you trade it in. I went with obd11 because it is easy to use.

Pretty sure that it’s more than capable of pulling it off. Thing is that Ross-Tech’s more on the “protecting their backs” type of mode nowadays.
