I’ve been trying to determine whether my 2018 A6 3.0 has DI or multi port injection and no one seems to have a straight answer. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Check the front of your supercharger… if the pulley has 4 bolts then you have a CREC engine with multiport.

I have an 18 A6 3.0. My understanding is the we have direct port and rail injection. Hence, carbon build-up should be lessened to a large degree. I hope that’s true. I plan to keep this car another 6 years or so if it doesn’t become a maintenance queen that I can’t largely handle in my garage with a bit of time and advice from folks here!
