Change Virtual Cockpit Display ONLY for RS1/RS2 Mode

Is there a way that I can have the virtual cockpit do the hockey stick rev counter only in RS1 and RS2 mode and then have the “normal” round dials in auto?

I’ve tried over and over to get this to work and have not had any success *headbang*

It always defaults to the “runway” view in RS1/2 even though I select “hockey stick”

From a previous discussion last year I believe there is no way. I personally just have it set as hockey stick for all driving modes.

My 2020 RSQ8 has the hockey stick and RS “sport dials”, (the dueling tachs didn’t come until mid ‘21 models). I can choose either hockey stick for everything or the RS Sport dials for everything, or I can choose the round RS Sport dials for Dynamic-Comfort-Auto-All Road-Off Road and hockey stick for RS1 & RS2. My point is, since it’s possible it may be just a few ticks away via VCDS or a couple of thumb taps away via OBDeleven, OBDApp and or VEEPEAK/Car Scanner Pro. I can share my VC control module if anyone wants to see it (Dashboard Control Unit 17)

I’ve had my RS7 for a year now and have had the hockey stick for all driving modes. Two days ago it changed to dials in Auto and runway for RS. I can make different selections but the changes don’t stick. I suspect an OTA update that didn’t install properly.

I actually prefer the RS Sport option (traditional looking gauges) but I cannot figure out how to make that the default in either of the RS modes :(

How do you get it to stay in hockey stick mode? For me, it always reverts to the runway mode when I switch to RS1/2.
