The weather has been great lately but I haven't had a chance to get out and see if I can grab a 6.x second 60-130.

This was my first attempt with new tune. I really feel it should have been better. Maybe it’s because of my 034 camber plates.

I don't think your time is that bad, I think the biggest difference between stage 1 and stage 2 is seen more so in the 60 to 130 times, even more so than 1/4 mile.

Any tips on the best way to do a 60-130 run?

Let the car shift for you? Manual shift? Shift at redline? Starting speed?

This thread isn't meant to be a dick measuring contest to see who is fastest. The purpose is to benchmark how quick these cars are at different stages with different tunes. That way someone can check out the thread, see the spreadsheet, and determine where their car should be with the listed modifications.

The fact that these cars have LESS variables like you mentioned makes the database more valuable, as it takes driver error out of the equation. 60-130 is not impacted by launch variables or tires (until high power levels of course), so its a great benchmark.

Do you have any data to input?

the only data that dude might have is that keep your catalytic converter on. you want to guess what state in the US he lives? lol

but like DanMpower said i'd like to know what mode the car was in and how the 60-130 was performed. i'd like to know best way without actually doing it from a dead stop.

    Sure.

Launch control with automatic transmission, bolt ons, and OTS tunes are gonna be within fractions of a second of each other because there is literally no human component. This isn't racing. Try a track with some corners.

Tell me, how did you conclude 10 posts in that this thread would literally only include people with bolt ones and an OTS tune? Also, you do realize there were already times posted that weren’t within fractions of a second of each other in this thread before you graced us with your presence?

I’ve lived in several states and so far Californians have the lowest average IQ, make the worst food, and are the worst drivers of any area I’ve experienced by far. Not sure if you’re originally from here, but based on your arrogance, I’d bet you are.

Your mods are almost identical to mine and I’m over 1/2 second slower. Do you have camber plates? I’m thinking my -3degree front camber is slowing me down. What do you think?

I have done that most my life. But recently I feel it's better to get my opinion out there. I’ve noticed other people feel the same…anyways some young impressionable Motorsport fan might read our discourse someday and think "yeah you know what, drag racing automatic cars is pretty lame, I think I will go drive a circuit instead” and I will have made a difference in the world.

if you don't like my posts, just ignore me and move along.

No, I don't and camber plates shouldn't affect straight line performance. If any, like a micro amount. Like .0001 literally. But you will beat me through the turns!

I'd be curious to see if RAL would improve times for those of us on OTS tunes. I know DS1 offers it and Uni has been working on it FOR>EVER.

Your time is fine...it's almost exactly what I ran with the same mods and what the vast majority can expect. His time is an outlier but he also had outlier times on the B8 S4 forum as well with traps and times far better then anything else with the same mods...there is a trend.

    That's movin.

I'd be curious to what your WedsSports contributed to this. Coming in at 17lbs I'd bet there are a couple tenths in them.

My bet is on either fuel, location, or density altitude or most likely all 3.

Those definitely have a lot to do with it. If I'm going out to set a new personal record then I make sure I do it with the proper ingredients. But, I'm pretty sure "foul play or false results" were insinuated lol.

Wow, that's pretty aggressive pal. That S4 time must have really hurt your feelings back in the day. Are you familiar with the gentleman that runs/ran the B8 1/4 mile database @Loe ? He is a very well respected member of that community. He was at the track with me that day and on many other occasions. He is familiar with my car and can verify my results. Evan Doel is a very respected tuner and participant on that platform and others. He was at the track that day and on other occasions with me as well.

I have people that can attest to my RS3 performance as well.

There's really no need to be a keyboard warrior in here bud. I'm not full of anything but verifiable results with respected witnesses. So please take the hate elsewhere and let's get back on topic.

Yes, my feelings are so hurt over the internet...what will I do? Evan ported the supercharger on my S4 and I have many IM's with Loe from back in the day so yeah I know who they are. As far as I'm concerned my work is done here as far as letting everyone know your history and how your cars seem to always be the "fastest" by large margins. I'm not aggressive I just say the quiet parts out loud.

If you are running 7.4's Stg 1 only...something tells me you will be shattering Stg 2 records pretty soon also. At least you understand DA's now unlike the last time I had a run in with you.

But yes..let's move on and get back on topic.

Glad you admitted to your accusations as false. That takes a big man to do that. Know that you have grown today. Congrats!

The wheels definitely helped, I saw a tenth improvement in the 60-130 when I switched to 2pc rotors (saved 7lbs per front corner) and another tenth when I went to the WedsSport wheels.

That's good to hear. I've been eyeballing them and I'm going to pick up a set in the spring. I'm seeing good results with them on other cars also so it's pretty consistent they help which is a bonus. I'll have to check out those rotors also...I wasn't tracking to any other options outside of girodisc.

Get yourself some Augment GS1R wheels (12lbs for 18” wheels) and AP Racing Discs (18lbs per disc) and you’ll have some great weight savings.
