German Car Accessories RS4 Grill

So I ordered a grill from German Car Accessories and it didn’t come with the Audi rings, RS4 badge, or Quattro logo (not that I care about the last two). It did come with the front plate bracket which is don’t need. What a bummer. Hopefully they’ll return it with no issue. I’m sure it’s a drop shipment that they don’t even crack the box open to check…

Anyone else order from them and have this issue?

I just put mine on the car last night. There was a lot of work to get it to go on the bumper correctly. I had to file out the parking sensor clips bc they were too small, had to shave down the the lower grill plate to fit bc the grill has a nasty bow in the bottom part of the new one. Way more work that i wanted but i got it to fit like OEM. also they put the parking sensors too low on the grill and they hit the crash beam now and do not sit in the cutouts on the beam like they are meant to. Not sure if they just jacked that up or what but like i said its a lot of work to get it in there correctly. so take your time and if you have to do what i did, just do a little at a time and then make adjustments from there.

Wow so they mail the rings separately now - in order to minimize the risk from getting busted for infringing upon the Audi logo trademark. Interesting.

Installed grille today. I do not have the front camera just two little sensors towards bottom corners of the grille. Was very straightforward. B9.5 requires a 10 mm to remove front bumper which isn't mentioned in the B9 bumper removal DIYs. Needed to file down the sensor tabs on the grille itself a hair and some of the clips on RS4 grille very minimally but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary. Expect to take a few hours if you're a pro at dealing with body panel clips took about 5 hours to get done with breaks. It looks 100x better and unless you 'have to have' the CF from Carbnlabs this is definitely the right ticket. Will post pics after car is cleaned up.

Installed My GCA grille yesterday. What a pain in the ass. I also went the extra mile and cut out the European license plate holder things. Not perfect but better than having them there, the 3 on the grille, since I will never be using them and that was the only thing I disliked about it..... OCD. The fit is ok, and yea, the parking sensors hit the crashbar, but just using some force I got everything to sit as needed.

I didn’t have any real issues. My parking sensors don’t contact the crash bar, I’m wondering if they had changed manufacturers to meet the supply demand? Mine fit nicely with no modifications needed. Sorry some of you are having issues! It took me under 2 hours but I’ve had the bumper cover off quite a number of times since I’ve had the car. I decided to not install the “quattro” letting as I don’t think I could have kept it spaced evenly or straight. I do plan to fit the S4 badge here in the next week.

Looks great. My sensors hit the crash bar but still "fit" with no modification necessary. I fit the stock s4 badge to the grille using a supplied clip, but its very meh on the fitment. The Supplies RS4 one simply clicked into place and that was real nice. Wonder if they could make an S4 one that does the same.

Lookin good! I found one on eBay and the seller said they’d ship one for a honeycomb grill. I’ll test it out when it gets here and report back.

I don’t recommend the eBay badge. It came with those terrible toggle bolts…so I cut the bolts short and made a backing plate adapter. Used some #8 nuts and washers to make it fit properly and not look like ass. Also, I had to install the emblems on a backer marque that was provided. What a pain!

I actually bought the same one, and emailed them for the RS grille version. Same thing, weird bolts and seems like you have to install the emblems onto a plate. Waste of 30 but its whatever.

You can print a 3d holder for the badge, it sits tight and secure.
