I took delivery of my RS6 in January and have logged 12,000 km dragging my kids all over town. Great family car!
However, my MMI has not worked properly since day one. My phone constantly disconnects and reconnects. I can’t make calls as the audio comes in and out and the person I’m calling only gets half of what I say. Music streaming cuts in and out either wired or wireless. The MMI then goes black, phone disconnects, then after 15 seconds reconnects.
The dealer has tested it and they have recently replaced a “module”. It made no improvement. Now my MMI is permanently stuck in a Loading screen so there are no icons, radio, phone or anything else.
I’ve also had to have the trunk latch replaced which was jammed shut for a month.
The MMI at this point has become a dealbreaker but I’m not sure I can even sell the car with a faulty mmi. My only option may be to trade it in for a replacement Audi. The dealer here gets one RS6 allotment a year, so I have the only one and could mayyyybbeee trade it in for their 2022 allotment (go from mythos to daytona). But would I get the right trade in price? I’m not sure.
My dealer is actually very good and the service is good. They are as concerned as I am (almost). I don’t think that Audi Canada has any idea how to fix my vehicle. They want to blame my phone, but it works fine in my F150, Honda Odyssey and my father’s 2018 S4. It worked fine in my Golf R that I traded.
So all enjoyment of this car is being killed by driving everywhere in silence.
What should I do?
