RS3 IMS850 kit reputable shops in NJ area

I've been running my 2019 RS3 on APR stage 2 for a while (almost two years now!). While there are no shortage of well known shops here in the bay area, I'm planning on a move to the NJ/NY area and wanted to know if there were any reputable shops that can do the installation and deal with acquiring the parts. Over the past few years I've tried to get in touch with Iroz directly on and off, but those conversations never seemed to go anywhere (read: ignored emails). I figured a nice built turbo would be a great change of pace in addition to the new scenery. Thanks in advance!

P.S. Do I have to go to Iroz to get the Syvecs ECU, or are there other places to get the same tunes and ECU with similar stability?

    Thanks!

TCR Performance in NJ and Redline Performance in MD can tackle your needs. You can go DS1 for tuning platform utilizing the stock ecu. Reach out to Darin @ DoubleD tuning who has probably tuned more DAZA platforms using DS1 than any other DS1 tuner.

I've seen STM (known for Mitsubishi's, does online retail too) sells the Syvecs S7 kit, not sure on tuning though
2018 RS3 - Too many mods to list them all

Came here to say this. Just go to TCR given their relationship with Iroz.

Also what Alex D says above, also worth checking out Redline Performance in MD

Thanks for the replies guys. I was trying to find some mention of TCR Performance / Tin Can Racing Performance online, but they don't seem to have a huge online presence. Their website (if I have the right link) just 404's on me. I think I found their instagram, @tcr_performance, but the website is just dead right now. Nothing on Yelp either. Are they dba someone else now?

Congrats on the move. I recently started a stage 3 build and scoured the east coast for legit shops to tackle the project. IMO, your best options on the east coast are TCR (New Jersey) or Redline Motorworks (Maryland), unless you want to ship your car to Florida (both RSP and OStar are great shops). My car is at Redline now for a stage 3 engine build, TTE777, DCT clutches, Wavetrac, head work and lots more. I'll likely go FF turbo in 2022/2023.

TCR is the east coast sister shop to Iroz, Josh has probably spent more time building and fixing 2.5T's than anyone else, besides the guys at Iroz. Most of the builds he does are Iroz spec - Mahle pistons, IE rods, ACL rod bearings, etc. He's very generous with his team and has a great track record for building bulletproof cars. You can't go wrong with a TCR build.

Redline Motorworks (not Performance) is very close with Hank and Iroz as well. Hank was just there a few weeks ago while he was on the east coast. Brian, one of the co-owners is nothing but class. He's spent hours with me discussing my build and helping me align on parts. He sticks to build timelines and only focuses on one car at a time. He does a mix of off the shelf parts builds and crazy custom builds (look up _nick.b on Instagram) for some of his fabrication work. I've been nothing but impressed with Brian's patience and communication, I'm not an easy customer.

There are a number of other talented mechanics and good shops on the east coast, but where Josh and Brian separate themselves is in their communications. A2B Motorsport in NJ has done builds, Innovative Motorsports in CT has done builds (and swaps), and there's always Arnold at Pag Parts in Long Island. That's not even considering shops like Tyrol Sport in NYC and a few other legit builders.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions as you consider an east coast build, happy to help if I can. There's a reason I drove 4 hours to take my car to Brian. Regarding tuning, you don't need a standalone for an 850S, you can go with Unitronic or DS1. I have both Unitronic software as well as DS1. I'll be running an OTS tune from Unitronic on pump gas and DS1 for E85 when the weather warms up with a custom file from Darin.

Hey thanks for the insight! Regarding the tune, I know it may not be required, but I kind of want to get it just for the rolling antilag.

You're welcome. DS1 has rolling anti-lag and Unitronic has it in beta. DS1 gives you 90% of what Syvecs offers for a fraction of the cost.
