    2013 Audi S6 - APR Stage 3 - 92k miles - CT

    Hello all,

The time has come to sell my Stage 3 S6. As much as I love this car as a daily driver, my wife and I decided to make some changes to the car and garage situation in our house. It's just the two of us with 4 cars and 2 garage spots so something has to go and this is just what makes sense right now.
Mechanically the car has been worked on by Excelerate Performance (https://excelerateperformance.com/) from the moment the stock turbos went bad due to the oil filter issue which is common with these cars. When that happened, we decided to go all out and upgrade the turbos which I'm glad we did. I had a stage 2 RS7 that I sold last year, and the two performed pretty much on the same level when it can to acceleration. Simply amazing when you can leave a super car behind with something that looks and feels like a daily driver.
I'm 38 years old, and never took the car to the track or raced it other than little races on the highway or street. Daily driven to work and on trips, the car is mechanically sound. Just did the brakes last month and got new rotors and pads from Disc Italia so there are no squeaks and they work beautifully when handling this sort of power.
I haven't had the car dyno'd but I'm confident based on the tuner and my experience the car makes somewhere around 675whp.
Cosmetically, the car looks great with a few nicks from driving and simply bad luck. Recently a piece of tire on the highway hit the front bumper and knocked off the tow hook cover. I have a replacement and was planning to get it painted, have the front bumper touched up and maybe the hood as well. Before I do that I wanted to see what kind of interest I would get on here.
One other cosmetic flaw of the car is a curbed front passenger side rim. I typically send out my wheels every winter to get refinished while I put on my winter set. This will be happening soon so I will get that taken care of.
I'm putting up 2 photos for now, but after I get the car detailed I'll take additional photos later in the week.
    I'm located in Stamford, CT.
Here is what's included with the car:
    - APR Stage 3 setup with all APR parts and work done by Excelerate Performance
    - almost forgot to mention this...the Stage 3 kit is no longer available for S6 and stage 2 for RS7. I know this from when I sold my RS7 last year. You will be however grandfathered in and you will be able to do updates to the tune and have full support from APR. I know this because the person that bought my RS7 did this and was very excited about it as it's a rare thing now to have this kit on your car.
    - RS6 style grille with Audi rings custom painted to match the mirrors and trims on the car
    - original grille will be included
    - Disc Italia rotors and pads - installed last month
    - regular oil changes with Motul 8100 X-Clean+ oil kit from ECS tuning done every 6 to 8 months
    - HRE wheels for summer - tires have less than 5k miles on them
    - Stock wheels for winter - painted flat black with black center caps - tires have less than 5k miles on them
    - S6 all weather mats
    - legally tinted windows at 35%
I think this is everything, but if I remember anything else I'll add it in later.

    ASKING PRICE - $30,000
I think it's a fair price based on KBB and Autotrader values at around $24k to $26k with the APR stage 3 setup which cost me $17k from Excelerate with all the parts, install, tune etc. + extra set of wheels (I have all the receipts for all the work - See copy below for part of the work done)

I lowered the price from $35k to $32k. I had a small incident on the highway where a tire knocked off the Tow hook cover and damaged the bumper a little bit. Given that and the curbed wheel I mentioned, i will take off $3k. If you prefer I take care of the work to fix these things, I'll just add it back into the price.
I'm also adding more photos as mentioned. Finally was able to get a wash with decent weather :)

Price lowered to $30k and this is the last I will lower it. Again, the one front wheel is curbed but drives fine. It's $150 to get it refinished at a wheel shop. I also have the front bumper tow hook cover which I might just drop off and get it painted this week because it's annoying to not see it there. But as of now the car has the unpainted tow hook so keep that in mind.

Whew. That's a VERY ambitious price FYI. I would recommend a LOT more pictures, service history, etc. That being said, good luck with sale!

ForceFed, thanks for the reply. As I mentioned in my post, after I get a detail done this week I plan on posting a lot more pictures.
As for the price, I did not find anything to go off other than the value of the car + half of what I've put in, which in all the cars I've had in the past and sold has always seemed to work out at around that number. If you have an example of a stage 3 S6 and how much it sold for in the past, please share so I can adjust my price.

I'm not going to go do the research for you, but I can tell you as a general rule, you never get money back for mods, certainly not half of it. Also, $17k for a stage 3 setup is wildly expensive if true. My car is about to be stage 3 and it cost me about $1200 to get all the parts for it, and I've been quoted $1500 for the install.

I'm genuinely not trying to knock your post, but I do want to temper your expectations as far as price. I think $30k is the absolute ceiling for this and if you get that offer I would take it.

ForceFed, I did the research and I always do. I've sold 8 cars in the last 8 years most of which were moded or heavily moded. I'm not new to this and I figure a fair price. Other than one or two people like you that have something to say without making an offer or having any useful information for anyone, i get positive messages and offers from many others. If you re-read my post and do the math, I cut the mods price in half and I'm including an extra set of wheels on top of it. If you're interested in buying the car then please contact me, but if you're here to inform others I guess offer some sort of help then I think you should take your knowledge and share with us how you managed to go stage 3 on an S6 with $1200 and $1500 for install because that seems like an amazing deal. Would love to see the response to your posts about it :)
You're not the first to reply to my car for sale posts and it always ends the same way...I sell the car and people like you and their posts get nowhere. If you want to help people out then you should find a better way to do so.
I've wasted enough time on this so I'm done here. Thank you and feel free to keep bumping my post

Have to agree with ForceFed here, I'd take a chance on the HRE wheels add more value than the Stage 3 does. If anything a buyer would see the stage 3 as a negative as you could argue that the car has been driven more aggressively during your ownership.

That aside, beautiful S6! Love the color, wheels, and grille. Looking forward to seeing more pictures :)

I guess the 1000bhp RS7 that’s on here should really be valued at $40k given the depreciation from mods given your theory lol, I’ll go make him an offer.
The work done on the car was done by professionals and the car has been daily driven without a hiccup for years. Most of the service work was done by Excelerate. Never raced the car or abused it. I take care of everything I own. I’m an adult and I would drive this car to work daily, then my wife had it as her daily until she got an SUV. Now it rarely gets driven because we have 4 cars.
    Pictures will be coming Thursday/Friday.

Respect23, best is to ignore people like this. I don't understand what compels people to try and devalue a sale thread. I'm sure in their head they'll argue it's some sort of selfless act, but it's pointless to even converse with people who have this mind-set and the short-sightedness to post something like that in someone else's sale thread. It's rude as fuck.

Bottom line, this is a lot of car for the money. She'll sell to the right buyer who will appreciate it.
They want you afraid of your neighbors, your community, your family, your ability to support yourself, terrorists, climate change, China, Russia, Covid. As long as you are afraid, and won't unite red or blue, they win.

Respect23, I agree with you. I've sold many cars too and EVERY single one had pointless posts like that with people offering "opinions" for no apparent reason. I think, however, someone truly interested in your car has already done his/her research and just scans right on by those "opinions". I sold a highly modded rs6 on BAT a while back. I LOVED that car and did upgrades with a fine tooth comb. I had people offering opinions on the car, opinions on the mods, what they'd rather buy with the money etc etc. Long story short, the couple of interested bidders at the end ignored all that, knew what they wanted, knew how detailed I was with the car and I got more for it than I even expected. I have a similar S6 right now BTW with RS7 turbos and I love it. For those interested in this sale...you won't be disappointed if you've never driven one of these. You will be "pleasantly" surprised when you stomp the accelerator pedal. GLWS

Thank you so much for that. I'm with you on all if it, that's how I bought a highly mod'ed RS7 previously and knowing what you're looking for/at makes a difference. I've had a number of offers now and I know people appreciate the car and it will sell. I do want it to go to someone who appreciates it for sure, same with my wife because at this point she's telling me to keep it lol which I'm more than ok with :)

I think this is a very decent price for what you get.

I have a stage 3 s7 and it just isn't worth it for me to sell for a "low" price. It's that much fun.

Price drop to $30k. This is the lowest I decided to go on the car. Otherwise I will keep it given all the work done on it.

At $30k I think this will sell within a few weeks no problem. There are 2013 S4’s around this price. I don’t think you’ll have to lower the price anymore, still just need to wait for the buyer who wants one with mods. Do you have the car listed on cargurus, autotrader and Facebook?

I haven't listed it anywhere else. I am hoping it goes to someone that loves Audi's as much as I do, but I'll post it on those sites in the near future. Appreciate the suggestions

    $20k...is the engine missing?

For anyone looking at this I PM'd the seller a few times and he seems like a good dude, willing to work on shipping etc. I'd pay the $30k in a heartbeat if I weren't too chicken to buy unseen from VA.

"Better" is subjective. Is a C7 S6 more luxurious and technologically advanced? No doubt. But the B5 S4 is much lighter, provides far superior outward visibility, and offers a manual transmission. Those are all important factors for me, as they directly impact the actual driving experience. Therefore, I consider the B5 S4 to be a much better car. It all depends on what is important to you. To each their own, right?

Very nice C7, OP. $30k seems like a fair price, GLWS!

Your name doesn’t check out. Nice car tho. Interesting your car wasn’t running and was towed into Xcelerate. They didn’t check any underlying issues as the disclaimer says. Was the oil screen relocated or left in that awful spot. Should have been deleted by them upon working on the car. Better option to get rid of it or relocate as it’s a common fail item that causes turbos to go.

They did everything to make the car perfect. They checked everything with it, trust me. I even had one of the techs drive it for a week and do 3 oil changes on it to make sure oil was cleaned and no other issues were happening.
I'm extremely particular and cautious when it comes to all my cars.
The car was not running as I had one of my local guys take the turbo's off to see what was happening with the car. The car drove, but once my local guy removed the turbo's it was not drivable. I then had it towed to Xlr8 if you are looking to investigate this further, feel free to call them.
For all the interest you're showing in the post you must be a serious buyer I assume, so feel free to reach out with an offer :)
As for respect23 it's a Jordan reference, and I don't see any of the bashful and meaningless posts on here as respectful to me or others...do you?

I was just pointing out what the invoice said. Not bashing.

OP, don't respond to the posters that are not potential buyers. Anytime you sell a car you can count on a series of posts from non-buyers about the value of the vehicle. As you know, a proper ad with all the details, lots of pics and all the proper videos will get the car sold along with patience. There are certainly buyers out there that would like to buy well modded cars rather than go through the process and expense themselves. Are there a lot of them, no, so you just have to have patience. I have sold a number of such cars over the years. If you are in a hurry, you will get beat up on price, if you are willing to stick it out you will find your buyer.

Personally I would keep it and put a little money aside for an engine refresh, guides, rings, seals, timing chain/tensioner and put another 100K miles or more on it. That thing must be a beast.

Good luck with your sale OP

Ok, it's time to bring this car back up for sale. I've kept it for the time being with not a lot of effort in selling it but at this point we just need the space.
I will be bringing it for another oil change but other than that it's all pretty much the same as mentioned before.
The updated mileage is 97k and the update price is $29k
