You need good high quality source material - I have been doing no loss ripping of my CD collection and that is really the minimum to appreciate the quality. I am hearing things I have not heard before, like delicate high hat tapping on Steely Dan's Everything Must Go.
So I was looking at this vs carbon brakes and I ask myself- which one will I really use EVERY time I drive. The sound system!
There there's those lifting tweeters - I was like how can I spend this much on a car and then go "Why don't my tweeters rise out of the dash?" Haha.
That is funny because I had the exact same thought, but came to a different answer. I got my carbon brakes for completely non-braking performance reasons.
1) ZERO brake dust
2) 75 pounds lighter weight for better ride and handling. This is unsprung, rotating mass which is the most important.
3) longevity, I will like sell this car around 50-70k miles and expect the brakes to have plenty of life left.
Obviously 1 and 2 I use every single time I drive, but the B&O would only matter when listening to music. About half the time I either have the windows down listening to the exhaust or am listing to podcasts/sports radio.
Instead of carbon package and B&O I went black optic and Ceramics. I would 1,000% do the same thing over again.
