EXTERIOR MODS. (Black-Chrome theme)
-Bumper lip/‘Splitter’ MX Style: Polyurethane, painted body color. Other than being paintable, polyU is flexible. It won’t crack or pull the bumper off when scraped. First hand experienceSSS… (

-eBay Open Fog light cover with horizontal 3M 1/8” chrome strip added by me.
-License plate filler (gloss black) with chrome trims painted body color. Ohio joined the club this year -yay!
-Front fender chrome emblems: eBay Audi V6T and Aftermarket Quattro emblem. (

-BBS concave wheels (Mops!!!…need I say more ??? A wealth of firsthand Audi knowledge especially on wheels.) BBS CH-R. 20 X 10.5, offsets 25 with 3mm spacers for rears. 275/30/20 so no rubbing. Best mod of all.
-Bilstein PSS10 coilovers - My only performance mod and love it!!! 911 owner for over two decades and with the Quattro, this is a sublime setup. Its riding on Michelin 4S too.
-Brembo rotors and brake pads (red exterior of rear pads matches red caliper nicely). Not much brake dust - whew! . Street braking seems similar to stock.(

-‘Brake dust cover’ painted black.
-Calipers painted Porsche red.
-JMS valance (‘diffuser’). Fiberglass, painted body color. Not factory fit but definitely acceptable. Most importantly the bumper ‘character line’ lineup great, but minor discrepancy in fit along the bumper, but one has to look for it to see it. (

-Quad exhaust: Stock muffler with sealed exit ports cut out and 3.5” quad tips custom welded by a local muffler shop. Length short enough to give the welder working space and yet long enough to hide the 2.25” to 3.5” transition. I did it for looks but slightly throatier especially during spirited driving with a snarl with shifts which is super cool sounding inside the cabin. But not so much outside which I only learned yesterday when I took the vid below. Interestingly the newly cutout port tip builds up residue within just a couple of days of work commute and not the original opening. Unbelievable prices for tips here and great quality. (

-Trunk ‘spoiler’ (Fyralip Y22 painted body color from the seller): Initially I was against any ‘spoiler’, as I really dig the flow there. But after a few weeks things just didn’t look balanced with the new ‘splitter’ and valance. Even my purposefully subtle exterior mods in that sense did take away some of the simple elegance of the stock design. However I’m very pleased with the current look - Every angle is great now, and each stroll towards the car is a special occasion!(

-LED fog lights (eBay) - great improvement, more than I expected.
-Tint 35% rear and rear quarter panel. 50% doors and 70% windshield (so it doesn’t stand out clear).
-Best Vagcom mod was window control with key fob.
-Many panels newly painted + Paint correction
-Dared to put a decal on an Audi too
INTERIOR MODS. (Maintaining Audi Factory-Finish.)
-Unique Auto Developments Carplay (
https://unique-ad.co.uk/product/comi...igh-2005-2009/) Love this product mostly to use wireless Waze. Does not change the stock look of the dash. It comes on as I drive off (Initial auto connection can be spotty at times - once connected never drops) , a huge upgrade on day to day commute. Microphone inside the overhead console for ‘Siri’ commands is handy. I think audio quality with my music apps (free) seems to be of lower quality coming through this than even local radio (this unit has an equalizer but MMI B&O equalizer controls output too). I mostly use screen to display Carplay/Waze and let MMI play local radio - a fine combo as radio stations can be switched via the steering wheel control, and Waze without audio is very useable. Of course could use Waze with audio and a music app too. Not touch screen, use MMI knob and other controls work too (skip, pause etc). Second best mod. Highly recommend!
-AliExpress wireless iPhone charger plugs into ashtray and almost looks stock (fits great but slightly different plastic). A handy inexpensive product which works fine in my limited use. Wireless charger & Carplay on a 12 year old car.

-Flat bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters (Vagcom). Seller ignored my email when paddle shifter fell off but I figured out how to put it back (pin slides out). Otherwise was helpful, Wheel is of great quality and purchase experience was just fine. $90 credit for old wheel. Paddle shifter is fantastic and I use it a lot. (Will be nicer if B8 steering feedback can be programmed to be tighter at parking lot speeds.)(

-Perforated leather gear shifter. Had to match steering, and perforated leather shifter of this design wasn’t available in eBay or AliExpress, so a lot more pricey being OEM. Shifter IMO is the only pedestrian design with the original car. (

-Stainless foot pedals (Amazon).
-Audi genuine floor mats with silver ‘A5’ lettering, coordinates perfectly with my finish - along with the SS foot pedals really freshens up the footwell area.
-P3 V3 vent gauge (because someone bothered to make it, to make it look stock, and it looks cool to me). 0-60 is fun (B8 Launch control @ YouTube). Cons: Vent airflow is restricted and at nights LED reflects on side view mirror. I enjoy having it. (

-LED interior lights (Aliexpress). Worth it!

Eye candy in and out with an enhanced driving experience to boot. Still unmistakably a B8 coupe. Only mod pending is a remote starter with iPhone app - close to keyless as possible. iPhone to start the car, unlock, place it on the surface charger and go…
