DMV area - Recommendations for suspension shop and typical maintenance

Hi,. I just moved from southern California to the DMV area. I live in Silver Spring. My car has recent developed a clunking noise that I can't figure out and need some expert advice and help.

Please let me know if you have a shop that would be perfect for this.

I am also looking for a shop that does maintenance works for the car also (haldex, DSG, bevel Box)

I use Drive European in Falls Church VA to service my S3. Haven’t had any major service done there but Sam and the team have been amazing

I take my car to Kevin at Gill's Precision Automotive in Silver Spring for all my maintenance. They do a lot of European and retro cars. Kevin is a great diagnostician and isn't one of those guys who throws parts at things.

They have a partnership with the shop next to them (Kim's) for alignments. Thomas (who works at Kim's) does a lot of alignments for AutoX, SCCA, and other track people around the area.

Do you work in DC by any chance? There is a great place named Capitol Hill Auto. It's a small shop, and looks a little sketch from the outside, but the guys that run it (Chris and Ryan) are Audi/BMW fans, and have a lot of experience working on German autos. I took my GF's car there for the timing belt swap, and a walnut blast. They've always been cool and honest with me.
