C7.5 rs7 what is performance package??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey all, firs post here. I have very recently purchased a 2016 rs7 nardo gray with 37k miles, going through all threads here and beyond about this car, I have had done that prior too to inform myself on the car. The history on it points to being a leased car from Canada. From this forum, I got the idea of requesting the window sticker and saw that it had a "performance package" for 4k and a final price of 140k (I assume usd). Here is the kicker, from all I have read, the best way to tell the p from non p cars are the carbon ceramic break rotors, the soft close doors and maybe others, my car has none of those 2 and has the wavy rotors with red break calipers. So what exactly is the performance package???rs7-3.jpg

The titanium exhaust and the 40-50hp bump to the ECU. Also, make sure that the gauge cluster is reading in MPH vs KM. I have a buddy who bought a narrow gray C7.5 that came across the border with the KM cluster. They tried to swap it out but failed multiple times that he got tired of it and accepted it as is.

Dang, then I must have gotten a steal because I don't think the dealership I bought it from knew about this either. The dash shows mph rather than kph so all good! Though I haven't noticed the titanium exhaust...

You may want to confirm with an Audi dealership that the factory warranty is valid in the US... I had first hand experience a few years ago with a dealer selling a Canadian car (2017 RS7) with 30 months/39k miles left on factory warranty. Audi tech friend ran the VIN... no warranty as it was not built for US market. Passed on the car...

The warranty is already expired, purchased an extended one given the turbo oil screens issues. Thanks for your input!!

Performance models did not come with the titanium exhaust as standard, the Titanium Edition RS7s (I think they were also Performance spec'd) did come with the exhaust but you end up with titanium colored accents instead of carbon as standard.

Ok, the tips around mine don't look like carbon fiber, the exhaust itself doesn't look titanium that's for sure. Any other way to tell what that performance package is?

C7.5 rs7 what is performance package??

Yep, the exhaust is standard. Like MTV10 says check the suspension or MMI to confirm air suspension or not. There was a dynamic package that came with DRC suspension. Where did this sticker come from? I think my original msrp was only a little more and it came with B&O and the headliner.

Edit, I’d check for a better version of sticker. Without drivers assistance (ACC/HUD) the sticker price doesn’t make sense.

Yeah, I did some more checks and looks like the price listed there is can $, there is no air suspension on mine either but converting the base price from the sticker to usd the price without options seems to match non p base us price, and I doubt performance package would mean what I thought, turns out to be 3.8k or so vs the 20k for the real rs7 perf price bump. Still wondering what this Canadian perf package is though.
Btw this sticker is not the original one, I found a thread here somewhere that showed a site where one can find their window sticker by vin #: withclutch.com/stickers

It’s not a Rs7 Performance, if that sticker is for the actual car, under technical it show 560hp, performance models are 605hp.

That part says for standard equipment not overriden by option selection but I think you are right though, that "performance" package might just be red calipers, drc rather than air suspension and maybe something else. Either way, still way happier with the car than my previous c63s!

IMO, that "performance package" looks like it should be "dynamic package." That price is in line with the package [3,500 USD]. Also, this link seems to show "Dynamic Package." https://clients.automanager.com/a951...ac45c#Features [I think that is the same VIN] For some reason, this link has the same VIN, but lists the color as Silver. The internet isn't clear on a few things :(

So, perhaps it's just a typo.

If you do a VIN search, it shows this as Prestige model. And, to the best of my knowledge, "performance" was not a package, it was a separate spec altogether.

Edit: you should get the original window sticker and it should sort things out. The one you posted didn't look complete to me, but it could just be a US/Canada thing.

    Dynamic Package

The " something else " is the sports differential.
That coupled with the DRC makes corners much more enjoyable.
Have a look under the car, the sports diff has an electric motor on it.

After you have driven the car awhile get some H and R sway bars to bring the handling to where it should be.
Probably the biggest bang for the buck ,suspension mod
