Anyone do any big turbo builds on the B8 A5 2.0T?

Planning on doing a big turbo build, CTS Boss 600 kit with the garret gtx3071R, on my 2010 A5 and was just wondering if anyone has any pointers or things to look out for. Keeping stock internals for now. I know the rods are the weak link so I'm planning on running a lower tune to keep it around 400-425hp. Doing fueling upgrades such as an AEM 340lph HPFP, IE Port injection manifold with the fuel rail, and 1000cc ev14 injectors(To fill the 4 new port injector slots). It currently has a fully straightpiped 3" exhaust, cold air intake, Front mount intercooler with charge piping, and a Forge BOV. Is there anything else I may need to reach my desired power? Can I get more power safely with stock internals as long as I keep the torque lower? Are there any other shortcomings to reach higher power levels? Sorry for the bombardment of questions lol

Check YouTube for Flink Films. Guy has some really good content on his big turbo A4.

You wont find a bunch of big turbo build here in the A5 section, there is more of that over in the A4 section (same engine), I've linked one of the more comprehensive build threads that I can recall.

I did, you don't need the manifold or port fueling, I have the 340, autotech hpfp and mabo injectors and still have plenty of fuel head room, even at 36 psi but I'm on 93. Working on meth now to be able to run some timing at boost that high

If you're not doing internals, the 500 kit is a way better choice, and even that I'd turn down with a stock engine. People like to guess how much the stock rods can handle, but there haven't been enough failures on well set up and tuned cars to really nail down a number

I am going to the internals eventually just not yet. It’s definitely pricey lol. So I don’t want to buy another turbo after I do build it

This is like a stepping stone before I build the internals. Once the internals are done, I’m hoping it’s going to be around 625-650hp at the crank and an rpm range up to 8500-9000. So you’re right I don’t need it right now but I’m just planning ahead with it.

IÂ’ve been thinking about the same goals as you for a couple of weeks now. Flink Films is kind of a test subject for a big turbo setup since it there isnÂ’t much gathered data out there.

IÂ’m looking to make 600ish as well with built internals BUT with the versatility of having variety. By this I mean not using the typical Boss 500-600 but using a custom setup with this flanged.
