Plastic intake manifold instead of metal one?

Hello, so I have some questions about the two different intake manifolds that are made for the B8.5 engines and if they are interchangeable or not.

The one that i have on my 2014 audi A4 quattro is the metal one, and from what ive read and concluded they did this so that the car is able to handle the more corrosive fumes from the flex fuel without as much degradation, compared to the high octane you run with the plastic manifolds.

I was wondering if since i have the metal intake manifold and since i only run high octane (91-93), would the manifolds be interchangeable since no flex fuel would be burned since that is the only octane i run? Or are there other things that the metal manifold is designed for that would make the two not interchangeable at all?

The only reason i had this idea and wanted to check was because ive been getting the p2015 code, and with the metal intakes you have to take the whole thing off to get to the runner flaps underneath, which is the cause of the code. Whereas with the plastic intake, the arm for the runners is already out and you can put a fix kit on it that fixes the over extension of the arm for the flaps which causes this code.

If the parts are not interchangeable, does anyone know anywhere that i can buy the plastic intake runner valve part that sits under the metal intake manifold? I need either a part number or a direct link to the item because i have been looking for days and haven't found anything except used ones on ebay, which i prefer to not buy specifically because they are used and do not want the same problems.

Again, i only ask the question above because i only run high octane in my car and not flex fuel. Im just curious if thats enough to be able to replace metal with the plastic one, or if there are build and operation differences that i have yet to find out, that would also make the two non-interchangeable.

To my understanding, the metal intake manifold has a fifth fuel injector. I'm not positive that you can swap it for a normal plastic I.M. best thing to do is ask your mechanic about your exact setup using the vincode reader.

I am in the process of a full rebuild after detonation>burnt exhaust valve>damaged head. I have flex fuel (CPMB). I did not properly inspect the brand new head upon arrival. It is for GAS (CAED) which means it's missing the mounting holes for the CPMx fuel rail.
I've got a few options I'm considering but to your question...
Swapping from metal to plastic intakes... the studs and bolts are shorter on the plastic, you'll need to cut and debur or replace those. The vacuum setup is different, you'll have change out vacuum hoses from the PCV to the solenoid valve. You'll have to change all the fuel lines as they do not match up in shape or routing. The 5th injector does not do a whole lot but that is where the fuel lines run on the metal intakes.
One of my options is to swap to the plastic intake and all the parts. I'm still trying to figure out all the parts to do the swap.
That's all I can offer you for your question. If i get further, I'll add more. Hope some of this helps.

If anyone has straight forward information on metal>plastic swap please post it or dm me. It could help me make a decision on the direction i go. Links to a thread or list of parts would be very helpful as i can't find anything that's all encompassing. The one i found, well, the english and posts in it were difficult to follow. Plus it was plastic to metal, I'd have to reverse engineer it.
