After having owned several Audi's and building my B6 A4 up from stock, I decided to bite the bullet and make the fifth Audi a B5 S4. I had always played around with the idea of 2.7 swapping my B6, but after dropping forged internals into the 1.8 it just didn't make sense. Also, very stereotypically, I always loved the classic B5 body style and wanted a Nogaro Blue car, so I had to pick this one up when I saw it.

Here's my 2000 Audi S4. Nogaro Blue, Sport Interior, and plenty of other goodies. It's definitely not the cleanest but it'll get there .

Had the car trailered up to Minnesota from Georgia, so unlike most cars around here, this one is clean and rust-free underneath .

It's a pretty basic Stage 2 car, but here's the short mod list:

    -034 Motorsport Tune
    -AWE Tuning SMIC's
    -Gutted Downpipes (?)
    -2.5" straight pipe
    -Kayser 710N DV's
    -ABD Cold Air Intake
    -2.0T Coil Conversion
    -034 Silicone Hoses
    -Electric Fan Kit

    -17Z Front Brakes
    -Raceland Coilovers
    -19x8.5 Rotiform RSE's
    -Depo Euro Headlights
    -Ebay RS4-Style Grille

Weird combination of really nice parts and really crappy parts... Anyways, the tentative plan for now is to go Stage 3 E85. Got a lot of stuff to clean up and take care of before I even start. It has all of the typical B5 issues like sagging headliner, jammed cupholder, etc. It also has some non B5 issues, like bad clearcoat and broken/missing interior pieces. On the bright side, timing belt, K03's, and clutch were all replaced within the last 25,000 miles. On the other hand, all of those will be pulled again within the next couple thousand.

Not sure what I got myself into but it looks damn good sitting in the driveway lol.

Looking good! Are you planning on going with rods for the e85 ko4 build?

Thank you! Probably not, just gonna run it stock block and keep it under 450wtq. Considering picking up a BEL block on the side and throwing some rods and 2.8 heads in it for down the road. Matter of fact, I already have 2.8 heads sitting in the garage haha.

Nice man! Solid plans for the build, good idea of building the bottom end on the side if you end up doing so, can never be too safe. Noggy looks great man good luck on the project! I eventually plan to do a mild build of another block on the side just in case as I found some metal shavings in my oil change, still gotta confirm if something worse is going on.

Well, time to get started on this car. Bought it with a (supposedly) bad starter, new one's here so the front end's coming off this weekend.

Also, got some goodies in a few days ago.

Borg Warner K04's. Plan is to throw some Melett CHRA's in them and install some time over winter.

Well, I got around to pulling the bumper and core support off over the weekend. Bought the car with a bad starter (supposedly, that's the issue) and got a new one to replace it. Way more connectors for the core support than the B6 had. Also, pulling off the bumper is something else... felt like I was breaking something but I guess you really do have to use some force to undo the clips on the sides. Checked the timing belt and it's mint, definitely has been replaced recently.

That being said I discovered a lot of mods that the PO didn't mention, or maybe didn't even know about. Car has a generic EFK, 034 Snub Mount and bracket, ECS Street Shield, JHM Drivetrain Stabilizer, and adjustable UPC's. On top of that, all of the control arms in the front have been replaced, and although the coils are Racelands, at least they're brand spanking new. The "gutted downpipes" are actually PowerGo Motorsport catless DP's. Flex pipes aren't torn so I'll run em, will need a new exhaust though; dual 2.5" midpipes going into a singe 2.5" and then back out to a 3" is ridiculous.

On the down side, the AWE Tuning Intercoolers look a lot more like XSPower's... so I'll be looking to pick up some new ones before I go Stage 3. Anybody have any input on this?

Hard to find time to work on the B5 between school and work, but I managed to get it running this weekend! Engine was turning over after installing the new starter but still no start, long story short the ICM deletes were for some reason hooked up wrong. Started it up today and needless to say I'm stoked to hear it and see it running. Clutch needs to bled, battery needs replaced, and suspension needs to be adjusted. One step at a time.

Quick vid of my dad revving it, only told him to give it a small rev or two, but dude kept going long after the vid cut-off . Seems like he might love the new car almost as much as I do.

Call me a ricer but the straight pipe sounds nasty. Single 2.5" is definitely not the move though so I picked up an SSAC/XS Power Twin 1 from a local guy.
