    Tire Rotation with AWD

Are you guys with AWD rotating your tires?

I’ve been periodically checking the tread and they seem to be wearing pretty evenly all the way around. However, I do know our cars are front wheel bias therefore it would make sense that the front would wear quicker.

Just trying to get a gauge of what people are doing. Would like to maximize the life of my Michelin PS4S.

On a square set up I always prefer to rotate front to back on the same side of the vehicle (i.e. drivers front to drivers rear and vice versa) even if the tires aren’t directional.

Rotation is good practice. Fronts tend to wear more on the outer shoulder of the tire, while the rear camber on these cars is a little harder on the inner shoulders. Front to back is easier to do at home, so that’s my choice.

I'm on my third Audi S3 and have done close to 210k miles in total between the 3 cars I have owned. I have never rotated the tires and have had pretty good tire wear on all three of them. All cars have been stock OEM specs.
