2000 s4 sedan with Bose stereo US spec. I don't have any wiring diagrams for an s4 specifically.
I picked up an rns-d and wanted it to replace my Bose unit. I get a warning for the SAFE wire being disconnected and see that I need to put +5v to the pin5 on the 8pin black connector.
Currently there is a grey/blue wire there, looks like it has something to do with the antenna. The diagram on the rns-d shows the same antenna symbol on pin14 for a connector my s4 does not have but looks like the type of plug the instrument cluster uses(can high and low also look like they need to be relocated to this connector as well).
Is this wire to turn on the antenna amp that's in the roof? Do I need to find the missing plug for the rns-d to get this to work or can I live without it?
Does anyone have any conversion instructions for rns-d I can reference?
Everything I find seems to be for swapping to the later rns-e variant but I would rather have all the best-of stuff offered for the b5 era.
Thanks
