How to fix: DTC 01826 and 00778

I have those two DTC pop up with a VCDS scan

01826 Sensor for Steering Angle G85 Supply Voltage
35-00

00778 Steering angle Sensor G85
37-00 - Faulty


My traction control light is on maybe every 2 out of 3 times I drive the car

I tried to do an adaptation with vcds but it didn't take.

When I look at the measuring block for steering angle and turn the wheel, it doesn't move off of 0 degrees.


I assume my sensor is fubar and it just needs to be replaced?

Does anyone have a PN/link to this part? Anyone ever replaced this before?

Part number: 4E0953541B or 8E0953541E depends on VIN split. Dealer could tell you which it is.

That part number is for the clock spring as the steering wheel sensor is part of it.

Yeah, I would look for something used first just in case.
