Anybody have a fix for scratches on the piano black trim around center console?

Got some scratches on the console trim and they look terrible. Don’t want to go at it with regular polish for fear of more scratches. Any tips?

I plan to cover mine with Xpel Stealth... no more swirls and it looks really cool.

@NPuter can provide some pics, as he did his RS6 interior piano with Stealth.

Piano black is the worst finish ever
    It's either dusty or scratched
No idea why Audi likes it so much

There really are usually only two options if its plastic, you either fill the scratches with something like pledge or other filler, wax etc. or you polish away the scratches with some very fine abrasive. Given its black, thats going to be hard to make look good. Black is the hardest to work with. Best of luck.

Recently had a 2021 A5 as a loaner with piano black trim. Car only had 1500 miles and the scratches were insane.

As someone who details his own car… I would use an extremely fine polish on the softest pad you can find.

Mine was full of scratches. Had it polished and out xpel on the whole interior trim.
Don’t mind the shine it gives

It may be possible to find a pre-cut vinyl overlay kit on eBay or something similar?

My CF by the gear selector was lightly scratched. It’s pretty soft so I polished and sealed that off. Need to put some PPF on there, I’m sure it can’t be that difficult

    That looks sweet.

How do you like the RS6 by the way? My dad is searching for cars and I told him this thing is awesome because it is a practical super car.

I’m hoping he’ll change his mind once we test drive one

The interior piano black will polish just like the exterior b pillars. The tricky part is managing the haze. I use a rupes nano but haven't tried hand polishing.

Just ordered the Xpel interior film kit. Gonna try some light polish and microfiber towel when the kit arrives and hopefully get it taken care of.
