Anyone tried these Napa pads for Rs3? I know they’re cheap but honestly I ran Canadian tire pads on my s4 and they were great and less dust than oem.

    Otherwise thinking carbotech 1521s. Thoughts?

    just installed these

rs4 brake pads cut the sensors off and wired up the one from the old rs3 pad. they work great and dimensions/fitment identical to rs3.

You just cut the harness off and splice to new pad?

You can splice the harness off the old pad, it's very easy. The connectors are actually the same it's just that the male/female are switched.

These ones above are ceramic. I want to use with existing rotor. Should I order the low metallic instead?

They'll both work with the iron rotor, it's a bit confusing. The pads for the ceramic brakes (rotors) look totally different.

The OEM pads are metallic. Ceramic pads are generally quieter, last longer and dust less, but they don't feel as nice, take a bit longer to stop/have less bite, and don't hold up to high heat as well if you're really hammering on them. I personally prefer metallic.

Do they offer RS4 metallic pads, which we can splice our connector onto?

edit* I guess these ones? https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...82700&jsn=1481

which also begs the question of using the RS4 365mm x 34mm rotors (versus the RS3 370mm x 34mm rotors), which are quite a bit cheaper but a 2 piece design?:

    $600 for front brake kit....

Yep quick solder of two wires super easy. you can use any pad material you like, figured would try this one out, super easy to swap so can always change later.
