I loved it. Well balanced and good power. I needed something a little larger for back seat and trunk for my kids.

If I could have kept it I would have. It had it's issues, the rear dif I had to replace since pump stopped working and didn't know.

But it was a APR stage 1+ car with 034motorsport suspension stuff.

Congrats! I too came from a Glacier S3 before our first B9 S4. I love the S4, but did prefer the size of the S3.

nice pick up! I love the s3, it's super agile and turns on a dime, but I noticed the extra weight of the s4 is more confidence inspiring when pushing the car in the corners. the extra space, lower seating position, and interior quality make it such nice family hauler.

Thanks.. excited for this platform. Spacers and DWS 06+ are next up on the stock wheels for winter. Really stuck between 10mm or 12mm all around.

I ran 15mm front and 20mm rear on the S3 lowered on 034 springs, loved it super flush.

    Made some minor changes today.

    ECS carbon fiber middle lip

    DEPO Clear front markers
I OCD in my head could not let me get the painted ones. Kept saying what if they fail me for inspection at least with the reflective clear I could try to make an argument.

Hey mate! Car looks good, quite similar to mine.

Did you notice any real difference in turning off the Sounadktor? Heard mixed reviews of turning it on or off, not sure if mine is amplifying sounds it shouldn't be. What do you think?

    Cheers

I turned it off on my S3 and now the S4. I think it's in a matter of option really. It does sound good with it on, but for me I like to listen to it off.

I think in a prestige, due to double pane windows, you gotta keep it on. Other models, maybe not.

Nope.. just make sure the surface is clean and smooth and using the right bolt for the type of wheels.. ball or cone bolts.

I ran spacers on my S3 as well, just wish these factory wheels were lighter. I think the S4 rotor is like 29lbs, the S3 had the factory split 5 spokes forged, they were like around 23 I think.

    AA Wireless
So a while back I pulled the trigger on AA Wireless on Indiegogo for $90. Why not right? Took a while to get due to the world wide chip shortage and shipping issues.

Package received couple days ago and it was packaged very well with the device and usbc cable.

I downloaded the App from the playstore via a qr code on the package. Logged in and connected the device, all of about 5 mins with opening package, download, and connection.

So far so good, the device wakes up as soon as I grab the door handle to get in the car and by the time I start and put it in reverse Android Auto is ready to use.
I have it plugged into the arm rest USB.

Just picked this up couple weeks ago. Mobile app and support from the company is really good. Very easy to install and extra power is pretty good. First time using a piggy back unit as all previous cars were a flash tune. I don't drive alot too much any more with working so close and mostly all 35 mph roads. Happy so far with the purchase and if ever I can sell it if I decide to go different route.

    ECS intercooler
Quality and fitment was very good. Only had 1 minor issue which was the 1 of the feet with the rubber grommet where it sits in the support was a hair to thick. I shaved a hair of the rubber grommet and slid right in.

Just had my 034 Xpipe installed this morning at CBTuning here is PA. Great shop, really down to earth people.

So not much seat time yet, but you can definitely tell there is no resonator under the seats. Not sure if it's just me getting older or what but I start to think about phone calls or sometimes that quiet drive home from a long day at work.

There is some "pops" in dynamic so that's kinda fun and it's not the crazy ones.

I will try to get a video of what it sounds like soon.

Thanks. First time trying to log the things I am doing. Pretty happy with everything so far.
I will say the car really likes the intercooler. Had them on previous cars but you really felt a good difference on this one.

    034 X pipe removed
After 6 months of waiting and only 500 miles I took the X pipe off and went back to stock resonator. With the roads I drive and where the rpms would stay, especially in full dynamic, it was too loud in the cabin. 2200-2700 rpm with valves open was not enjoyable for my taste. It will go for sale soon.
Really sad because if I was able to get passed that rpm range it really sounded good.

Also I changed out all the emblems to black and removed the side V6T on fenders.

I’ve heard nothing but stories about drone from the X pipes. I feel like 034 needs to change the description.

I love 034motorsport stuff and will continue to buy there products, but this one was not the right one for me.

It's all trial and error. I used to run the valves disconnected on the OEM and it sounded good, just wanted a little more VS spending $1,500 to $3k on full exhaust. Its very hard to get a true expectation from a YouTube clip or something.

I will be picking up 034 springs and sways come spring!

Not much of an update just some cleaning before summer...

Car came out good, used Adams Graphene Ceramic spray.

You can use a ultra violet light to see where you left off or if you missed a spot etc..

All cell phone pics, don't have a camera.😔

That looks really good! I didn't realize their spray had UV tracers in it like their coatings. Even though it's more work, the spring decon and refresh is so satisfying to do. The results are so rewarding.

    034motorsport Springs and Sways
Got the springs and sways installed yesterday at CBTuning yesterday here in PA. I had 034 on my S3 and was very happy with them so continued that path here.

So far only have about 100 miles on them but the ride is really good even in full dynamic. Car sits low enough for me with our crappy roads. Didn't have much twists to really feel out the sways but car rides flatter in the turns as expected.

Little update, will be coming out of warranty soon very soon so got a couple things lined up like exhaust and full tune.

    Exhaust
While I was on vacation there was a local car event and MBRP was their with products on display.

I talked to them for a while and have been checking their stuff out for a while but have been super hesitant on pulling the trigger on an exhaust since getting rid of my X pipe due to drone.

I ordered up their quad carbon fiber tip exhaust and hopefully will have it installed some time in July. I will post some sound clips after, right now I have everything stock except the valve open all the time.

    Tune
I am probably not going to go stage 2 or beyond, only went this route on 2 previous cars, so not 100% on which one I am going with yet. I had Unitronic/ APR/ GIAC on previous cars and all preformed very well, last car S3 was APR.

Tuner is close to me so that's why I was thinking of the above and I wouldn't have to incur the extra cost to buying a laptop since I only have Chromebooks.

So excited for the up coming months.

    MBRP exhaust and APR tune

Well after waiting for 2 months finally got my exhaust in.

Fit and finish is really good. Sound is what I would say louder than a touring less then a track.

Unfortunately I am just not a exhaust guy anymore due what I need my car for; business, wife, kids etc, so it's now for sale. Which believe me, makes me upset since I love the tips and just got a new valance.

    Again posted in classifieds

    APR tune v 2.1
Surprisingly drives like stock for the most part and is very smooth. I only have about 35 miles on it since the tune not much of a review but will follow up later.
