All I really wanted to get out of the tune was a raised RPM limit to 7200 as I was shifting into 5th at the end of the 1/4 mile. My first impression was meh, but I'm sure it took a little time to adjust. After the "adjustment" period, it seemed to just make the tranny more refined and just better overall. From quicker paddle shifting to just cleaning up the slop. But then, I launched the car in aggressive mode which is 3000 rpm. With that combination along with the 7200 limit, I was very impressed. Minor wheel spin and very firm shifts were spot on. I'll let you all know when I hit the track (Summit Motorsports Speedway in Ohio) again so I can post some times. Before the tune, I hit a 12.4 at 112 mph.
Well. Seat of the pants is great but only managed .08 faster in the quarter and 1 mph higher. About 10 degrees warmer and 47% humidity. Launching in aggressive mode (3000 rpm) with a redline of 7200 in sport mode. I'm perplexed that I didn't have a better 60ft time (did not spin) and faster time due to higher rpm shifts and not shifting into 5th right at the end.

Scratch that. The A7 only went .05 quicker in the quarter mile and only .5 mph faster. I would have expected around a 1.5 to 2 tenths faster and 1 to 2 mph faster. Maybe it was just the night (temp, humidity, wind) which always plays a factor. Maybe more heat soak due to running it to 7200 rpm. Until next time..... In the meantime, I will eventually call IE and talk to them about a few things.

    No other reports?
I want the car to downshift in manual mode when I want, and RIGHT NOW, not when it feels like.
The stock delay is killing me....makes me hate auto trannies.

Nope. I never got an answer. I don't even know if the ZF is the same. I did read in another forum the gear ratios are different between the Q52.0,Q53.0&3.0SQ5. Only reason I found that out was because I was looking to see if anyone were swapping out their DL501s in the S4/5 for the ZF for a more reliable trans but people said no...then Oleg is able to mount at a ZF using a 2015 A5 transmission mount for his 4.0 swap....so it's possible.

Has anyone had another TCU tune and switched to IE and can provide some perspective on how it compares?

Got the IE tcu tune a month ago, and it has been feeling great. Manual downshifts are indeed a lot more responsive than stock but still, it is an AT. One weird thing is the launch control: the mechanics at the IE dealer weren't even sure if there was an lc program installed until he jumped on the vehicle and tried himself. So, I didn't really get the "variable launch control" program as advertised on the IE website.

Just saw a video on how 034 finely tuned the ZF8 on B8/B8.5 s4/s5 and knows 034 literally can set the launch rpms with toggling the cruise control stick. Not sure if they provide that on C7.5, but damn it is sick. I wish I could have get that feature with my 700bucks.

034 does not offer the variable RPM launch for the C7.5. The SIMOS 16 ECU is a bit of a pain.

I believe SIMOS 16 has less available free memory.

The Berk/Melen TCU tunes may very well be the best, but I wouldn't know, and probably won't pay to find out. But I am with you, you could very well go through thousands of dollars worth of tunes finding one you like. Sometimes I wish life was simpler, like in the diesel truck world. I bought a diablosport tuner for $250 used, and used it for 8 years, and upon selling my truck, I unflashed the tune and sold it for exactly the same thing. Plus, you could do custom tunes in it, change rev limits, speed limits, disable certain vehicle systems, so on and so forth. As far as I know, none of the tunes offer this flexibility. I have been spoiled by diesel trucks and megasquirts. I probably need to learn HPTuners, I still sell a OTS megasquirt tune from time to time.
Current owner of a bit of “laggy”, 2019 (5th gen’) RAM 3500 with the H.O. Cummins, enlighten me! Hence that I’m clearly new to the diesel world, here. Yeah, I know, I know. Audi dude with that one side piece. As I mentioned, fairly new to the game and I’d really like to hear out a few tune options for this particular truck. Some have also suggested I delete the EGR system but I can’t quite do that due to the fact that I get pulled into the scales from time to time and it’d be a hell of a time once they start looking into things.

If you get your own Powerlink cable and the IE flash software on a laptop to flash at home, there is a setting in the TCU flash where you can set to "street / agressive / race" and it changes the RPM like 2800, 3000, 3200 or something like that -- can't remember exactly. But that's how you set the launch RPM with IE. Invest the $150 for your own powerlink since you have C7.5 that way you can play with the E85 tune, flash back to stock for dealer visits, etc.

Well that really sucks. I don't see this limitation mentioned on their website.
