I took mine up to 88 mph, but then I found myself in 1955. So I’d advise not going faster.

How'd you get back? You can't just buy plutonium anywhere in 1955.

I don’t think any of us ever had enough road to find out.
Most I’ve done is 155mph, and it was still going, so something tells me it could hit 190.

I have a 12' A7 w/ stage 2 DP w/ EPL, so I'm factory speed limited still. But as noted above, it seems like it would keep going for awhile. I'm sure someone will chime in.

You could. With a 27 inch tall tire, .667 8th gear, and 2.8 final drive at 7200 rpm my car would be going 313 mph. That pesky wind and rolling resistance though.

I did 150mph on a closed course with a professional drive at the wheel. The car was still pulling pretty hard and had 2 or 3 more gears to go (tbh I dont remember entirely). I am only stage 1 without a TCU tune, so theres definitely plenty more to go. The C7s are pretty aero dynamic so based on other cars with similar power and the same transmission (Maserati Ghibli SQ4 is what I am thinking of explicitly) I would guestimate that the car could do 180-185.

I know I have been joking around in here, but in all seriousness, I do plan on running my car in the Texas mile to answer this. The one thing that bothers me however, is what will IATs look like when you are pressing into the 150mph+ area. I planned on starting off around half throttle and not really getting into it until around 3rd gear. My prediction is they would be scorching hot. That is why I plan on doing every mod possible while remaining single pulley and meth injection for my best shot. High IATs could ruin more than a max speed run when your car is under high load fighting wind resistance at 150+

stage 1 tuned and TCU tuned saw 165 before having to let off....still pulling but not as hard of course

if your doing the Texas Mile let's face facts your not going to hit those type of speeds. this car isn't pushing enough HP to go that type of speed from a dig, even a rolling start 1 mile you'll need more HP that a stage 1 to move it faster than what we posted

I am figuring about 160-170. We shall see, if the starts align. All things considered, from what I have read, that is about 75-90% of a cars max speed given many factors. My car of course has never been stage one, and I won't bother to go without my ported blower installed, test pipes, and meth. I personally think holding it balls out for a mile is asking for a blown cat if you don't have test pipes. At a certain point, yes power matters, but so does aero. I don't know what other prep I would do to the car other than taping over all of the body seams to smooth some air flow. Maybe an airdam/fender spats up front if I don't have to mess my car up too much lol. My Miata ran 167 there but ran out of gear, probably could have gotten it close to 200 if I would have had 7th gear or a 3.27 rear.

I have been told (In person and online) a good predictor for standing mile trap speeds is to take your quarter mile trap speeds and multiply between 1.33 and 1.5 to guesstimate. Obviously lots of bench racing goes on as far as that goes, and the only real way to know is to put your car out there and floor it.
