Jack or Lift Points on the MK3 Audi TT

I searched but only found two threads re: the jack or lift points for the MK3. Both of those simply use the pinch welds as a lift point. However, a Google search yields other options and I want to confirm.

I'm going to be getting protective film installed on the new car (2021 TT RS) and will be needing to lift the car to make it easier on the installer for the lower sections. Easier for the installer = a better done installation.

I have a lift at my place So I am not using floor jacks and/or jack stands. I had the Audi over it yesterday and was checking/looking for the lift points. I saw a rather beefy set of "augmented" pinch welds. I say that because it almost seems like they welded 1/4" (6mm) bar stock to the bottom of the pinch weld. It's painted in the body color so clearly there at the build. However, I did spot what seem like lift points. Two at the front with a rubber puck and two at the rear that are more like bars. Question is....

Are those lift points or do I use the pinch welds with a slotted puck?

If those points (not the pinch welds) are the lift points, is there an adapter to place in them before I raise the car? Some sort of puck?

I didn't take a shot of the TT on the lift, but this is a shot of the type of lift. It's a mid rise scissor lift. Brings the car up high enough for me to roll under it on a stool. The two rail plates rise together and run the length under the car wheel well to wheel well on a short wheel base car like the TT. It's a messy scene... but it's not a "display" garage.

Just adding this to share and confirm. I threw the car up on the lift and double checked. There are two points with rigid rubber that protrude from the undercarriage of the Audi TT. These protrude enough from the bottom of the car that a flat puck, approximately 2" high, makes contact with the points and keeps the car separated from the lift plates. When the car is on the ground, it is easy to spot these if looking under the car. Photos are below with the car on the lift.

The front is a round rubber support that is near the back of the front wheel well:

The rear seems to buy a polyurethane puck that is a bit in front of the rear wheel well:

Got the PPF installed yesterday so she'll be getting her ceramic coat this weekend for sure.

Thanks for sharing the photos, I have been using a puck on the pinch for years now, this looks better.

yeah, there's a black rubbery block on each corner that are the jack points. IIRC the manual says to use those.

Hi guys, I am getting ready to do some maintenance on my 21 TT-RS soon. Can we safely use a floor jack on those rubber blocks identified in this thread? I prefer not to use the floor jack on the pinch welds if possible. I have come across some posts on other Audi forums which say that those lift points should only be used with a 4-point lift system, and this is creating some confusion for me.
