I just replaced my stock coils with the APR coils and what a difference. With the stock coils I was getting a bit of hesitation. I dont believe there was anything wrong with them since i hadnt gotten any codes. My spark plugs had already been replaced as well. With the apr coils the take off from a stop is a lot better than previous and i havent noticed any type of hesitation. Dont know if anyone else has used them but that's my review. I'm all stock except for the coils and the turbo intake hose

I'm skeptical. Guys are running highly modified cars with high hp on stock coils on all Audi engine platforms. Maybe you had a bad stock coil that needed replacing, or just a loose connection.

Glad you are running better. I hope you did not pay a lot more for APR branding. Wherever they got them, they outsourced them. APR does not make coil packs. My B8 Q5 3.0T is pushing 500 hp on stock coil packs. I realize your stock coil packs are different design than mine, but there is no reason to believe your stock packs can't support substantially higher than stock power.

Yea it could be that my stock coils were bad but like I said I didn't have any type of codes. Also they only had 39000 miles on them. Not sure when they are supposed to be changed. The stock ignition coils actually cost more

so you used the stock plugs that were already replaced when you changed out the coils? did you replace yourself and if so did you need a coil pack remover tool?

Yep stock plugs which were replaced around 37000 miles. I just replaced the coils with the apr ones around 39000 miles. I did the work myself on the coils, just my hands no coil pack remover tool. A little dielectric grease inside the coils makes it easier to remove them next time they need to be pulled

Zip tie loops made from long zip ties work well to pull out stubborn coil packs. And, they cost virtually nothing.

I also have stock coils, but after maintenance, I put the APR. I liked the first impressions, but it may be temporary, there were no special complaints about the stock, but they were a little more expensive.
