Hi I just got 2016 audi q3 for my daughter. It has 40k miles right now.
I'm just wondering what is the spark plug change interval? is it every 35k or 55k? I am confused.
    it says :
--Perform first at 35,000 miles or 6 years, whichever occurs first. Thereafter, every 40,000 miles or 6 years,
    whichever occurs first.
‰ Spark plugs4- Replace only on the following vehicles: [all vehicles with the 4.0l V8 TFSI, A8L with the W12 and
all vehicles, (except Audi Q3) with the 2.0l TFSI (except 2.0L Flex Fuel engines) ), and A3 e-Tron with the 1.4T
    engine]]

--Perform at 55,000 miles or 6 years, whichever occurs first. Thereafter, every 60,000 miles or 6 years, whichever
    occurs first.
‰ Spark plugs - Replace (only: A3 with the 1.8 TFSI, Audi Q3 2.0L TFSI, and vehicles with the 3.0L V6 TFSI, 4.2L
    V8 FSI & 5.2L V10 FSI engines only)
What are the recommend spark plugs?

    ENGINE OIL:
is it 5W-40 or 0w-40 ? what recommend type of oil and brand?

    AUTO TRANSMISSION OIL:
do I need replace this oil or not?

Not sure on the spark plug change interval, I do every 50,000 miles.

Only use oil that meets the VW 502 spec, like Mobil-1 "European Formula 0W-40", available at Walmart for $27 for 5 quarts. This engines uses 4.8 quarts to refill. Always use a OEM (Mann, or Hengst) oil filter. Change your oil and filter every 5000miles.

Change the transmission fluid and filter every 40,000 miles, there are some wear issues with the aluminum valve body bores. Make sure you use the correct ATF for this Aisin made transmission, not some "Universal Multi-Application ATF". The Ravenol T-IV synthetic ATF is especially formulated for this transmission. There are two similar pan gaskets and filters for the two similar versions of this transmission, the Q3 needs the "09M" 9 bolt gasket version, not the 8 bolt. I used a 2 gallon garden pump-sprayer (about $10 at Walmart) to fill, easy, no mess. Just fill the pump bottle with 6 quarts of ATF fluid, cut off the tip of the spray wand, then push the fill tubing onto the wand. Pump the sprayer handle about 5 to 7 times, and then the wand trigger valve allows easy on-off control of the fluid into the transmission pan. The fill tubing came with a plastic screw-in fill adapter (screws into the pan fill hole), from BlauParts. The gasket and filter that came with the Blauparts kit was Meyle part number 1001370005 or MHK0044 . You need VAGCOM or equiv tool to be able to read the transmission fluid temperature, to properly set the fill amount.

Also change the Bevel Box gear oil (bolted to the automatic trans, the thing where the rear driveshaft connects), and the rear differential gear oil every 40,000 to 50,000 miles. These use a GL-5 75W90 gear oil G052145S2. (double check the oil part number). I used a another (clean) pump-sprayer bottle for the gear oil. (you don't want to mix the different fluids)

Change the Haldex fluid (the other part of the rear differential unit), and clean the filter screen on the pump every 30,000 miles. Haldex oil G060175A2. A Gen-4 Haldex has replaceable cylindrical filter, the Gen-5 does not. (Not sure when VW/Audi switched from a Gen-4 to a Gen-5). My 2015 Q3 has the Gen-5 Haldex unit. Use a third, clean, pump-spray bottle for the Haldex oil.

Also, proactively replace the PCV/Pressure Regulator unit, to prevent rear main seal damage if the PCV unit fails. The PCV unit is about $145.....and takes about 15 minutes to replace......just make sure you buy the latest part number revision, as VW has improved this part numerous times....non-VW parts vendors sometimes sell the older versions of the part for less money...buy it from a VW/Audi dealer to make sure you get the latest. Also, only buy the OEM part, made by Hengst. There are many cheaper knock-off / aftermarket brands out there......

Audi officially says that the transmission fluid is "lifetime"........that is BS, just to keep the perceived scheduled maintenance costs lower.

Also, there are lots of counterfeit "NGK" spark plugs out there. They are $14 each from a VW/Audi dealer.

Instead of the gravity feed method described, I used the 1 gallon garden pump-spray bottle, as I described above in Post #2.
