    Swaybar endlink plastic or aluminium?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have replaced all my front control arms with 034. The 034 kit didn’t came with endlinks, so I didn’t replace the endlinks when I did the arms. Currently, the stock endlinks are made of plastics. Should I go plastic or aluminum? What are the pros & cons?

pro's are the endlink will be stiffer which will help the sway bar work better by removing flex in the system.

cons will be cost, possible additional nvh depending on endlink type and whether it has soft rubber, hard rubber, or solid bushings ( solid bushing are metal to metal spherical joints, which will increase noise/clunking in most applications, don't know on s4's specifically though)

Front may be stiffer, the back is so short I doubt a metal one would make much difference. Spherical bearings will end up being really noisy I'm a short amount of time. See if you can get a Moog, or maybe a Porsche one to replace it to keep the rubber bushing still and stiffer front link.

I kept the stock ones on mine when I got my 034 RSB. From what I read, the OEM ones are actually pretty good, and I haven't had an issues.

Call the dealer about the plastic endlink, they don’t sale them anymore, at least in Canada. The endlink had been updated to the aluminum endlink, the price had been updated as well 274$ cnd each. Did some research and found out it was Lemforder that was making plastic endlink for Audi. Ordered them online for 29$cnd each.

The top is the Lemforder and bottom is the original from my car. As you can see, it’s identical just Audi logo and Audi part number scratched out.

Has anyone tried these for the rear? Similar design to the Moog metal links, but with a more factory bushing than the Moog units.

EDIT: or this Macan kit, if it fits?
