    Marko'S 2019 A4 Allroad Build Thread

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Welcome to Marko'S build thread! I'm still not sure to what extent this car will be modded, but I was kicking myself for not having a build thread for my previous car so I decided to start one for this car.

Previous car: 2011 A4 Premium Plus. HPA K04, IM, and HFC. Millietek DP. Concert to 3G+ conversion. ECS SS with BFI weighted shift knob. Custom exhaust. Custom FBSW. Podi boost gauge. Custom subwoofer box (trunk side panel) with 8" Audiofrog sub and 1000W kicker mono amp. Treadstone IC. Eurocode IC high flow tubing. Eurocode Alu Kreuz. CR-15 strut bar. Ultrar Racing strut bar. Afe GT Momentum air intake and filter. KW V1 coilovers. Much more.

    Some pictures:

Current car!: 2019 A4 Allroad Tecknik. We were looking at Q5's for a while and came across an Allroad at a local dealership. We immediately preferred the lower center of gravity, better handling, and sportier feel to a Q5. We spent 3 months looking for the right Allroad with the options we wanted (panoramic sun roof, sport seats with ventilation, adaptive suspension, etc.). We almost bought a Glacier White one but it had front end damage the dealership didn't disclose. We hesitated on another Navarra Blue one in Newmarket because it didn't have ventilated seats and when we decided that the ventilated seats wouldn't be a deal breaker, the car was gone. I talked with the Audi sales rep and he literally told us that Allroads in south Ontario are hard to find, so if we find something with relatively low KMs and checks 4/5 boxes we should be happy. I decided to expand my search radius and see if we could get a car shipped here. We found a 2019 Allroad at Audi Winnipeg that checked all the boxes and had low mileage. The previous owner had purchased it, moved to another province, came back and traded it in for an A6 Allroad and barely even driven it! Worked out a deal with the dealership to get it shipped to a sister dealership in Toronto and bought it sight unseen. Got the keys on April 21, 2020. Here it is!

    Specs:
    2019 Audi A4 Allroad Technik
    2,959 KM
    Monsoon Grey Metallic
    Adaptive Damping Suspension
    Heads Up Display
    Comfort Seating for S Line
    Advanced Drivers Assistance Package
    Sport Package

Not sure if "Tint is not a mod" guy is around but the first "mod" we did was 15% Autobahn Black Ceramic tints on the front windows (to match the rears) and Autobahn Air Ceramic on the windshield.

So far loving the car! More to come...hopefully

Swapped out the standard puddle lights with some Audi Sport Allroad puddle lights purchased from Enthusiast Brands. I did all 4 and it cost me less than a single OEM light.

The install was plug and play. These lights are pretty crisp at night and barely visible during the day but overall I'm happy with the quality.

Had the window trim and grille perimeter wrapped in satin black. I prefer this look to the standard chrome trim.

I was told that wrapping the roof rails wouldn't really work but I'm not interested in dropping the headliner so I'll probably be giving that a go eventually.

Picked up some Weathertech mats to replace the OEM mats. Also got the trunk liner with the bumper guard attachement (but didn't take pictures).

Wow those mats are serious! I may have to pick those up for my girlfriends Tiguan. I didn't realize they provided that much coverage

Any plans to black out the front grill? I am selfishly asking as I debate doing it on my 21, but can't find many resources for the facelift grill.

The OEM passenger mat actually provides more overage at the top towards the dash but the weathertech mats cover the side area better.

I looked into it but the only option I could come up with was to remove the grill and send it in for painting. Didn't really want to mess with taking the bumper off and having to wait for the grill to get painted as this is my daily and I like the contrast with the black wrap around the grill.

Some updates over the last couple of weeks. Had the rear diffuser painted in satin black and installed black emblems all around. Also got around to installing some black mirror covers. I have the blindspot assist so I had to pull the mirrors off but it was quite easy with a fat trim removal tool.

Finally, got the whole car coated with Autobahn 9H ceramic coating. Loving the persistent shine!
