Question GermanAutoParts.com - Legit place to order from?

I've gotten a second opinion and it looks like my AC compressor does need replacing. The second place gave me a quote of $2,350 CAD, which is much better than the dealers $3,800 CAD.

The compressor is $1,700 of that $2,350. GermanAutoParts has it for $529 USD, so even after conversion, shipping, duty, etc, it should be about a grand cheaper. The shop said they're fine installing a compressor I supply, and the install cost remains the same.

Mark has replied to my from GAP extremely quick and been awesome. I'm always just cautious when a site offers something for so much less than others. For instance, ECS offers the same thing on sale for $875 USD.

    Thanks,

8T0260805G - Is that compatible? Everything I've seen from the dealer and otherwise says a 2015 S4 should use 8T0260805Q. Is one the updated version?

    Q replaced G: https://parts.audiusa.com/p/62820741/8T0260805G.html
Now, should you go the opposite way and put a G into a car that came original with a Q? What actually changed about Q? Good luck with those answers.

But anything in that price range will be Denso OEM rather than Audi OE (Denso makes the ones Audi uses, but the cheaper OEM ones don't have the Audi rings of approval stamped on them).
Denso says it's their same OEM part number, 471-1591, for any B8.5 year (MY13-MY16) S4: https://www.densoautoparts.com/find-my-part.aspx

Audi gave me a quote with Q as did the shop. It's a little more than FCP, but the peace of mind is worth it.

Fair point. The Audi rings stamped on doesn't mean anything to me if the Denso product is the same quality haha. I just want that sweet AC now that it's hot out.

I did some Googling, and GermanAutoParts has awesome reviews so think I'll just order now.

I've been ordering from them for YEARS (for cars I had before the S4). They're fantastic.

Awesome thanks for the insight. Mark has been great and their reviews online are near perfect so I'm going to place my order. Just waiting to get a quote for Canadian shipping.

I did look there, but they didn't have the part number unfortunately.

Thanks everyone, talked to Mark yesterday and it'll be shipped out Monday. As long as everything works out, it'll end up costing me roughly $1300 CAD instead of the $3800+ Audi quoted me. Sucks the seller lied to me, but I can live with that.
