Xmas came early. The EPL OBD2/cable came in. Shout out to Chris and the guys/gals? at EPL. Chris answered all my questions, helped me setup the files/installation. The install took only 10-15 mins. Ok, first impressions.
Stage 1 and TCU tune: right away it felt different, I just drove in D and comfort mode for 10 mins. Usually I drive in sports/dynamic mode all the time because D mode feels so lazy, but this time, D mode felt almost like sport mode already, I would say probably felt like 75% of sports mode. The TCU did not feel like much changed in D mode.
Sports mode and Dynamic mode: I know everyone says watch out for sports mode and the TCU tune in sports/dynamic mode but GOTT DAM. I don't think I can even drive daily in sports/dynamic mode any more. The car just wants to go go go. It asks for more, and like a proud papa, I said that's all, 100 mph is enough. 0-60 feels like nothing now and 0-100 feels like what 0-60 used to be. It's werid because after 80 mph it just wants to climb to the limiter, it feels like a 2003 Benz E55 ( supercharged 469 hp and 12.4 sec quartermile stock ). Before the stage 1 tune, the car did not want to go much more than 110 mph ( it did but slowly ).
Manual/Dynamic mode: feels alot like sports mode but you can control/hold the throttle to your liking, this is probably the place to be when spirited driving.
No DRAGY yet since I want it to have the full 3 days of conforming as everyone says. After 30mins of initial driving, I laid out a stop-start to 100. The launch seemed faster because of the power increase, it was crazy to see the 7,000 rpm shifts, and they were smooth, and I didn't pay attention and got to 120. Dragy next week.
