Exclamation Got new lower control arm but balljoint hole is bigger. Car is apart and I need help!

Below I show a pic and video where the hole is bigger, the ball joint would just flop around. Does that press out? It looks like it would come out of there. I need help asap because I this is my daily car and cant wait for a new one.

**Edit, posted what I did later in the thread.

I was just researching this... There is a production split. There are two ball joint sizes:

    M14 - Post 8/15/11
    M12 - Pre 8/15/11

Looks like you have an early '11 car and received the later lower control arm...

Sucks you were sent the wrong part. Can you reinstall the old one while you wait for a replacement? You probably could press it out but not sure if that would be worth it.

Wrong control arm. Try to knock the insert out of the new arm. If it comes out then knock the one out of the old arm and install in the new arm

Well pressing the sleeve out wouldn't have worked because the diameter is just a little larger on the new one. Good thing I checked it. Below is my fix for now.

    My door jam says 2/11

Yes, 2/11 would be prior to August of 2011.

We already did all the details of the part versions in the other thread.
Whatever specifics you used to order it, either they were wrong or they failed to realize there's a need for actual accuracy or they just sent the wrong thing. You clearly received an M14 lower straight instead of an M12 lower straight. Your car has M12, as it should be for your build date. You can either get the correct arm, or buy the M14 ball joints. What 034 does in their arm kit, only M14 lower straight, you get M14 ball joints if you have a pre-Aug '11 car.

We did, and according to the ad my car should have worked. They must have the wrong stock. I sent them a msg but that doesnt help me out today. I think itll be ok till I get the correct one.
