    Sub 3 second 0-60 anyone?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I gave my first crack at a timed 0-60 with my new p3 gauge installed. I cut a 3.3 flat in my '18 with uni stage 1+ on 93 octane, secondary cat delete, and a uni 4" intake and turbo inlet. This got me wondering what it would take to turn a 3 second or less time. Anyone accomplished this that can share their recipe?

Hey Todd, the 3.05 is the number that matches what you see published in the magazines. They all use the 1' rollout time

I ran a 3.2 completely stock, on 19s. But, with Uni Stg1+ and stg2 TCU it only gave me a 3.1, so you are in the right ballpark. It is really hard to get off the marks well, you really have to pick a grippy and clean bit of road.

Unfortunately I went stage 2 at the same time I fitted Neuspeed wheels and Michelin PS4S, so couldn't measure the benefit of those alone, but suspect a lighter wheel and grippy tyre combo would help sneak under 3s on stg1.

The sure answer: going to stage 2 or run it on E85. It's just seems more aggressive launching than stg1+ 93. I have run 2.9s on 93 and 2.6s on E85, with PS4S on the street.

As a footnote to my 3.28/3.05, that was stock 20"s with Pirelli's......and I agree with you on the clean bit of road. It would spin those quite easily. I have since installed Michelin PS4S and it doesn't do that but I haven't been able to duplicate that number....close but not quite.

3.1 so far here but that's all pump gas runs on 19 inch PS4S. I haven't launched the car much since it's been modded since I seem to spin too much. Just got some DR2's though so I should be able to get into the 2's for 0-60 now.

To clarify I was in stock 20's with all seasons, as well as a passenger and a full tank of gas. I've only launched the car a handful of times since going stage 1+ and feel like the car is bogging a bit off the launch.... Interested to see what e85 tune will do for me. I'll report back in the next few weeks.

Best I've done is 2.8s (2.65s with rollout)

    Uni stage 2 ECU E85 (E70 blend) + stage 2 TCU
    IE downpipe
    IE intake
    Iroz intercooler
    Uni MPI injectors
    AP Jhook front rotors
    Neuspeed RSe102 19"
    Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Lighter rotors + wheels + tires helps more than you'd think. The real ticket is running E85, even if just stage 1.

Great insight DK. I'll be on e85 later this summer with no other changes, I'll update this thread and advise of the change in time.

I've run 2.98 in my RS3 on street tires on a Unitronic stage 2 Ethanol tune, I upgraded to a TTE700 and am now in the mid 2.8 second range, that is still on a 255/30/19 PS4S with 3.2 degrees of camber (car is set up for track use not drag strip use).

2.8 with APR stage 2 e85 on a bad road surface. Spun a little bit so low 2.8 might be possible on a good surface. Ill be on A052 here in a week i hope and will retest on a good surface.

I installed a wavetrack diff. I dont think it will help the 0-60 but i hope to find out soon. I will be going with a haldex controller soon as well. I really hope that drops the 0-60 a good bit.

I pulled off a 2.91 at the track with the DR2's at 17psi. Running the normal stage 2 file which isn't their higher power option. Running E63 in the tank. FBO minus the intercooler. 2.65 with one foot rollout.

Update to this, I flashed over my e85 tune last weekend. Full tank of gas and a passenger and hit 3.1. I'd say it easily a 3 second 0-60 car in the right conditions. Only mods are the stage 1+ uni, and their intake and mid-pipes. Amazing how easily these become 10 second cars....
