    Buying used q7 premium

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I been looking to buy used Audi q7. I found this 2017 Audi Q7 Premium with a 78k Miles on it for $29k. Is it worth it? It looks like high milleage for its year. Is 78k miles still good? How long do they last? I’m worry after 100k miles start getting problems. That maybe after 2 years owning it. I just want to make sure I’m not wasting my money buying this particular car. What are your thoughts?

    What’s the engine in it?

I have a now-ten-year-old 3.0 TDI Prestige+ S-Line with 95k that I got at 80k miles IIRC for less than that. So far it’s been an absolute tank, completely fantastic. I had to have the DEF pump changed out (covered by the cheating Germans scandal; I figure they owe me for my 4.2 V8 chain guides), but that was it. I got it from AZEuros.com, you might check them out.

The one you’re looking at seems high-priced for that many miles at the Premium trim level, especially since it’s probably out of warranty now.

I had a look, thanks. I’d keep looking if I were you, mostly because I think the price is too high by $5k-ish.

The PO put 20k miles per year on this Q7, which is a lot, of course. The engine is the 3.0T supercharged which seems to be a fine engine (though nothing is without its foibles), and enjoyably tunable.

Here’s a link for things to watch out for: https://www.shopdap.com/blog/post/co...-engines1.html

You could request a PPI to check for the things above. Take it to a real Audi shop, not just anybody.

As far as available features go, it depends on what you want to use your Q7 for, so focus on finding the best available combination. The Q7 has thoroughly impressed me, and I’m not alone, so there are many examples out there. Or try to talk them down in price on this one.
