    2010 A4 2.0t P0341 & Flashing EPC Light Fixed

    Hello,
Figured I would post this and hopefully help someone one out. Car - CAEB 2010 2.0T A4 FWD

    History:
    - Bought the car with a destroyed head ( normal timing chain tension failure)
    - Rebuilt the engine using "Audi parts from China"
    - Rebuild lasted one year - Ring land on one piston broke - zero compression - out comes the engine again
    - NEVER buy parts made in China - everyone I have bought has failed.
    - Rebuilt the engine using JE pistons / found bad cam scoring on the head so bought a rebuilt head as well.
    - Ran great for another year ( 10k miles)
    - Drove it 30miles to downtown Charlotte and the EPC light started flashing
    - At 1200-1500 RPM the light would flash and car would buck
    - Scanned the ECU - has P0341 Cam Error
    - Noticed it only did it when the oil was hot
    - Verified the oil pressure at idle - 11psi - way too low. Staring thinking bearings but the only have 10k on them.

    Fix:
    - Swapped in a spare cam sensor - No help
    - Took a guess and installed a new N205 spool valve into the intake cam - No help
    - Took the cam bride off and BINGO! Found a small spring laying behind the bridge...
    - No idea how the spring came out but it hold the check ball tight. The check ball was now just loose inside the bridge.
    - Bought a new updated AUDI Bridge and tossed it in - Runs great now...
    - Yes I had an aftermarket Bridge in the car - never again.

Figured I would pass this along and hopefully help someone out in the future.

= ) I see the screen fail on every one I take apart but I had one blow out the check ball on me the other day....First time for everything. The one I had cracked the casting where it held the check ball and I had to fish the pieces out of the oil port behind it.

There are many who swear " audi of China" parts are just as good. You will never sway those people.

Thank you so much for sharing this.

I'm having the same symptom after several other fixes (coolant leak, PCV replacement, upper timing chain cover gasket replacement).
Car has always been doing the EPC light flash and shaking/choking at low speed and sometime, stalling.
How do you check the oil pressure? Also, any guides on how diagnosing the bridge?
