SQ7 tune installed

Post from the other Audi forum...very little SQ7/8 content here, but wanted to share...

I have been a customer of EuroCode tuning for several years, and have had tunes installed by them on S6,S8,RS7,and now SQ7. They also do a lot of my normal maintenance like oil changes and related work. I have been talking with the owner for some time now re SQ7 tune and they have done some testing and data logging on a project SQ7, and today I was able to benefit from it! I’ll let EuroCode post the specifics, but it added around 100 hp and torque from what I can tell. If you have been in a SQ7/8...that point higher up in the rev where it feels de-tuned and flat too early...well that is gone. Supper stoked with it on day one. At some point I will put it on a dyno and share. Oh, and the exhaust sounds better in dynamic with more pops and bangs. And they removed the terrible auto start stop function...which by the way has cause some near misses and makes my V1 restart at every stop sign (using V1 OBD for power).

no benefit for me...just a happy customer. Since the S6 and S7 have the V6 engine I was worried a tune would never come out for the lower production SQ7. Thanks eurocode for making it happen!

Per George, who has Porsche Cayenne with same engine, and has been working on the files. Email him and request to be notified when its ready. Maybe a month away.

We have the JB4 up on our site. Will be getting SQ7/8 numbers on our dyno next week. Have a few cars running the ready maps with similar peaks to the RS6/7 but need to see gains on them and if we can further optimize for SQ7/8.

What year is your sq7 ? I have a 2022 and seem like Noone have a tune available for it yet

You can go with a JB4 but its a bit of a PITA to install on the SQ7. We working on a straight to the ECU harness now.

Here is a dyno of a customers SQ8. Most likely will make the same power on 93.

We have outsourced the making of the male side of the plugs to three companies. The first one we rejected due to quality issues so are waiting on the other two to ship. 68 wires bridge on this patch so it has to be OEM quality.

Picked up my SQ7 this morning from the JB4 install. Working with @George@BMS to get the maps sorted and will post an update. After a 10 minute drive home felt strong in map1. Looking forward to what the result is on 93.

No update yet. The two factories making the plugs are currently closed due to a lock down.

Installed JB4 today with the bluetooth module. anyone worried about finding and hooking up the sensors I will say its about a 4-5 in difficulty. did a short drive on program 1 and noticed a little gain, plan to test level 3 tomorrow as that's what I can run with 93. until I do some logs.

I will report back tomorrow.

Candidly, it was a beast to get sensor B (#2 of 4) installed. (I had it in the wrong location in the photo above.) I ended up pulling off the belly pan and getting it from the underside... but it took patience and maneuvering. Small hands would make the process easier. Anyway, now that we’re a go, I can’t say it wasn’t worth it :)

Greetings Audizine crew. I am trying to install my JB4 in my SQ7, and can not figure out where sensor B is located!!!! I do see one sensor with two light blue/brown cables, but that CAN'T be what I'm looking for. Sensor A, C and D were kinda easy, but where is B?

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Good news - I found it. But the bad news - no way to get the connector off unless you have the hands of a small child and the dexterity of a snake. We could get a good view with an inspection camera (100% would recommend for this install specifically) - but not enough manual manipulation to remove the plug.

The sensor is NOT located as per the instructions - it is down on the charge pipe way at the bottom. There is no way to reach from the top - you will need to go up through the bottom. Guy with a camera from the top will help.

Also - me thinking about doing this again gave me pause - even if it's just for the eventual uninstall. To all those doing this on an SQ7 - I salute you. I hang my head in shame for the Jb4 install has defeated me.
