    All-Weather Floor Mats - 3D Maxpider Kagu

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Recently bought a Q5 3.0t and was in search of an all-weather/rubber floor mats. I thought of getting the Weathertechs, or even the OEM Q5 rubber floor mats, but came across these 3D Maxpider Kagu Floor mats that looks really promising.

I read through and watched several positive reviews of these mats, with the general consensus being they prefer them over the Weathertech offerings due to design/better fit. I also like the design of these much more than the rugged look of the Weathertechs, with the exception of the clearly visible logo...

Anyone here have any experience with the 3D Maxpider Kagu Floor mats?

    A+

I have the full set with the trunk mat. Personally I forgot the logo was even there. Went out to the car just now to check haha.

Hated the logo. Ended up with some OEM rubber mats, and now the missing “S” in front of “Q5” bugs me less!
I may have a solution for hiding this logo though. Will update if there’s any interest.

I have their carpeted version. I love the fit. I love that the carpet has a little nicer feel than rubber. I had Weathertech in a previous vehicle, and I thought they looked cheap and stained easily. I actually like the logo. My only complaint is that I have the grey interior and their gray is a little off.

I have these in a couple of my cars, they look much better than the Weathertechs I used to have, highly recommended.

Have owned these for going on 2+ yrs and love everything about them. The fit is pretty much perfect, they are lighter than WT, easier to take in/out for cleaning, the passenger mat goes higher up where the person's feet rest, and they overall look better in the cabin IMO (less shiny etc.). You will not be disappointed.

That is great to hear! I've always had OEM Rubber All-weather mats in my VW's and found the coverage lacking. The area underneath the pedals, dead pedal, and the sides always end up filthy. I figured this time I'd get mats with wider coverage lol.

I also like the "carpet-look carbon weave" design thing, fits the car much better than the WT's that looks better on more rugged-looking trucks/SUVs.

My order shipped out last night and should be here by Sunday if FedEx doesn't screw up. Excited!

I just received a set this past week. They look great, but the fit was not perfect. The holes did not match the OEM Mounting points. I had to bow the center edge of the mat upward and then push the mat into place. It’s not very noticeable and it still fits pretty well.

Overall, I’m satisfied enough not to complain to the seller.

I run these and they have been great. I removed that rediculous Logo and put 2 small stainless bolts through the holes with a cap nut on the backside.

I HAD these mats in my Q7 but IMHO they're a safety hazard. They would constantly causing the gas pedal to get stuck when I would go WOT. Imagine going WOT and your pedal gets stuck? Not a fun time I assure you. Can't say the same for the Q5 as the mats could be different but they're a no go in the Q7.
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

That would not happen on the Q5. I’ll test it today if I get a chance lol. No worries….Safety PSA, shift to neutral if the pedal gets stuck.

I recently purchased these but the carpeted version and like them so far. The only problem I have was that the Oem nipples that lock the mat in place were off centered and did not line up very well. Also my interior carpet is black and the mat is a bit darker.
I also removed the logo. From the back side took some snips and was able to remove the cap that held it on. I just roughed up the area and can't even see the holes or where the logo was. It's a summer car so I'm not worried about water getting pass the holes. Other than that happy and would recommend.

I tried it with my Q5 on a closed track …..ie on the way home. No issues while WOT. The pedal did not get low enough to catch on the mat. Maybe your pedal may need to be adjusted (maybe).

Just received mine! The fit and finish are really good. This texture looks nicer in person and also feels great. They don’t feel cheap at all.

I took this time to also install these pedal covers that I got off Aliexpress. Got it done in half an hour, including vacuuming :). Installing the footrest took the most time since it requires you to pull some trims, including the door sill.

Thanks! Yep, the big piece is the trunk mat. The pedal set cost me $25 and was fairly easy to install. Only the footrest/dead pedal took time since you need to remove a few trim pieces to install.

If you haven't bought them off Amazon yet, they're 10% off w/ free shipping on AutoAnything. Arrived fairly quickly despite FedEx delivering them 3 days late...

On mine, I cut off the backing portion of the Logo and pulled them off. I plugged them with little Stainless bolts that had a flat / Allen head so they sit flush.
