    Problems With Integrated Engineering

Has anyone had any issues with the Powerlink not communicating with the ECU? I just bought a brand new PowerLink with a TCU tune and I can't get it to communicate with the ECU. I emailed back and forth with IE and tried everything they asked and nothing has changed. They told me to call if I went through the list they gave me and it still didn't work. So I call, and they tell me they won't help over the phone and I need to email..... I have installed, uninstalled, re-installed, tried new computers, bought new USB to USB C cables and still nothing. The program installs and recognizes the dongle when I plug it in, but once it starts trying to communicate with the ECU it just runs forever and then gives me the error in the screenshot. Had anyone had this issue and found a fix? I'm really wanting to make this work, but I'm about to try someone else's tune if they aren't willing to help me more than telling me to reinstall the program.... I'm not impressed with their customer service.20210422_191619.jpg

Also, my professional Audi/VW Foxwell scan tool I picked up from ECS tuning has zero issues communicating with the ECU.

What kind of network are you using? The laptop has to be connected to an internet source, Mine does the same when the WiFi signal is weak, sometimes I’d have to use my phone as a hotspot

I am a little far from the wifi router, but I ran a speed test and it showed I was getting 15mbps down and 8 up. Maybe I'll try moving closer to the router.

It’s trying to talk with the engine module and it can’t. So, either the pins are damaged in the powerlink cable (6+14 are for CAN communication), or the powerlink cable is faulty internally. That’s my guess..

I'd consider getting a signal booster. I experienced this when my car was too far from my wifi. It's the only time I ever experienced fear of "bricking" my ecu as I forced a flash after getting momentary success and was unable to try again until I got a signal booster to plug in nearer my garage. You should also be using a battery tender while flashing

if you're using Windows, try looking in Device Manager and check your COM ports...make sure whichever port Powerlink is using, it's enabled...
