Would anyone have the diameter of the sway bar 4G0411309E?

I want to order powerflex bushes but they have multiple sizes.

That looks like the same p/n as an S6 front bar.
    28.27 mm
Although I'm sure it is nominally just called 28 mm.

FWIW I have not seen anyone trying just poly bushes on a stock bar. Definitely let us know your thoughts.

Very interesting, as powerflex offer 27mm and 29mm ones

I have found somewhat a slight discrepancy in that the 29mm powerflex bush, on their page they have OEM bush part no 8K0411327B... But that oem bush is specified as 26mm one when I search around.

That size might be for non "sport" suspension sway bars.

Yeah the bushing probably is a different size than the bar. But I am not sure if 1mm small or 1mm larger would be correct. Might need to call powerflex to see what they say.

FWIW I see three different stock front swaybar bushings listed under the S6 which matches your bar p/n and Audi suspension components are usually difficult to sort out since they like to use color codes.

    4D0411327G - 2000-03, 26.8mm. 2013-2016. A4, S4; Sport Suspension. A4; w/Electric Leveling. A5; Marked White Stabilizer. A7, S7, RS7; To 8/15/11. A7; Sport Suspension; To 8/15/11. Standard suspension. W/26.5mm bar. W/blue or green stabilizer bar, w/blue or green stabilizer bar. W/o electronic leveling, w/o sport susp. W/o ride control. W/o sport suspension, w/blue or green stabilizer bar. W/sport suspension. White mark.

    8K0411327A - Fits A4, A5, A6, A7, RS7, S4, S5, S6, S7
A4, S4; Adaptive Damping Susp. A4, S4; Standard Suspension. A5, S5. Comfort suspension. CONVERTIBLE, w/ride control. Coupe, w/25.6mm bar. From VIN 8T8011201. Heavy duty susp. W/25.0mm bar. W/25.6mm bar. W/brown stabilizer bar, w/brown stabilizer bar. W/comfort suspension. W/o sport suspension. W/o sport suspension, w/brown stabilizer bar. W/ride control.

    8K0411327B - A4; w/o Electric Leveling. A5; Marked Green Stabilizer. A6, S6. A7 Quattro; w/Orange Marked Bar. A7, S7, RS7. A7, S7, RS7; From 8/15/11. A7; Sport Suspension. Sport suspension. To VIN 8T8011200. W/2 nubs. W/o electronic leveling, w/sport susp. W/sport suspension.

So since I have a 2015 S6 which I just checked and is the same bar p/n 4G0411309E you mentioned, I assume it is the bushing you mentioned 8K0411327B (From 8/15/11) then perhaps the rubber OE bushing is indeed 2mm smaller than the bar but may not matter as much in rubber since it just squishes and the bar deforms the rubber as it twists unlike the poly where it needs to rotate in the bushing.

Again, I'd reach out to powerflex to see what bushing size they say to use on a 28mm bar.

Also, just my 2 cents, but are you looking to replace damaged front bushings or are you hoping for a performance increase? Because just as a note an aftermarket bar is 4mm of steel larger in diameter and comes with poly bushes and doing both front and rear larger bars just makes a noticeable difference in hard cornering. So while I'm interested what happens if you try them I'm not sure how much of a handling difference just the poly bushings would make by themselves.

Or is it that you are putting S6 bars on an A6?

That's actually a good point about the rubber being able to squish down so it could really be 2mm less than the bar. I have emailed powerflex to see what they say.

I am planning on just putting in the powerflex bushings to get some more stiffness, car is not tracked so it's just for normal driving really instead of going down the oem route. I've used powerflex products in previous cars but not sway bar bushings so I thought to try them out.

My A6 comes with the sport suspension option and I'm fairly certain the bar has not been changed, so I guess Audi put these bars on sports suspensions+ on the A6.

I am looking for this information as well. On Powerflex's site the part that corresponds to Audi part #8K0411327B is the 31.5mm bushing
    https://www.powerflexusa.com/shop/pr...g-31-5-mm-4149

If you figure this out, please let me know, I have a 2013 A7 with Sport suspension.

With that information it makes me think powerflex is giving bushing dimensions, not bar dimensions.
    That link says
"Audi & Volkswagen Front Sway Bar Bushing - 31.5 mm"
    but also says
    "Size: 35mm" further down...shrug
So where are they measuring, is it OD of part of the bushing...which part?
Certainly if the ID of bushing is 31.5 that would be too large for a 28mm bar.
I guess maybe they will respond in their email.

It has to be ID, one would certainly hope! But really a 31.5mm bush as replacement for 8K0411327B which is a 26mm bush doesn't make sense... I will let you know what they reply with.

I emailed Powerflex and sent them the photo you provided thanks so much btw! And got a reply from their sales dept.

    This is their reply:

Thanks for the measurement, this is much better than relying on other people’s information.

Unfortunately Audi do not included the bar size on their EPC so I can only go by what other suspension manufacturers list their part to be.

Manufacturers like Monroe, Febi and First Line list their bush as having a 26mm bore.

It’s not unusual for Audi to spec the bush to be 2-3mm smaller than the bar so it doesn’t surprise me.

We spec our bushes to the size of the bar, so a 28mm bar would require a 28mm bush. Unfortunately we don’t offer a 28mm bush however.

If you had to choose between the 27mm and 29mm, then I would go tighter with the 27mm bush.

Makes sense that Audi would use a smaller rubber bushing that the diameter of the bar and that a poly bush should match the bar diameter.
Honestly though if it were me I would probably not touch it...if the poly bush is too tight it will squeak, even with lube, and the benefit of the poly bush alone may be nada. Then you would be stuck putting the rubber bush back in.
Put the $50 toward a new sway bar set, you will be much happier.
