Stuck on tire size.... 255/40/19 or 255/45/19?

I have the S5 Rotor wheels...

    I'm torn between going 255/40/19 or 255/45/19....

I am going to be staying at stock height. I currently have 255/35/19 (came with the wheels) and its far too skinny for me, don't like the look.
Which size do you think would look better for stock ride height? (I'm assuming all will fit)

Yeah but you're lowered...thats the reason why I am wondering if a 45 profile would look better at stock height?

your stock profile for 18's would be 45/r18 ..... so for 19's you should be at 40/r19 , for a +1 fitment -- you leave it at 45's with 19's and you're going to throw off rotation/speedometer, etc.
for a "fatter" look with the 40/r19's, maybe look to 265 or 275 width ... I've seen a few post in here that have gone that way

I also run the 255 in a 40 profile, but I am lowered on coilovers. Second the note on changing the speedometer with a 45 series

I just did 275/35/19 but on 9.5 wide wheels. I like the profile height as I'm on stock height too.

Hmm, I just ordered 255/35 replacement tires for my 19" wheels.
Now, I wonder if I should switch to 255/40 instead if I can change the order.
I was hoping to lower my Allroad in the next year or two and thought 35 profile would work well, but seeing 255/40r19 and lowered Allroads, it does look good! And would give a better ride too.
