    CREH is 2018 A6 Comp

Hey guys, look at this picture. It shows my engine code - in 2018 A6 - as CREH. I had assumed, but never investigated that an 18 A6 would have been CREC...

According to the receipt fro my wife’s Q7, the APR tuner identified her motor at CREC. Both have 4 bolt on SC pulley, which I had thought was an indicator of CREC..

Bummer, I thought I’d benefit from addition port injection in terms of fending off carbon build up. Image1617579387.240445.jpg

CREC and CREH are the same engine, just a different code based on tuning.

Does this indicate anything valuable about the stock tuning. Mine has been APR stage 1 since first oil change at about 6k miles..

It’s probably CREH for cars with the competition package and CREC for all others

I’ll pull cover and check while doing new plugs. Got a bad tank of gas out of state, which in all but emptied driving 400plus miles last night.

I was thinking fresh this spring anyway!

    Thanks for the comments!

Searching for info on the CREH engine. New to me 2018 A7 w/comp pkg.
What is the different in tuning from the stock CREC engine?
Only 7hp difference. Slightly higher rev limit?

Sorry. To be more clear: what is the difference between the stock CREH and the stock CREC tuning.
I assume aftermarket tuning would override both stock tunes equally due to stock engine hardware being identical in CREH and CREC.
