Good wheel colors for Daytona Grey?

Hey all!

I’m trying to decide on wheels to get for my Daytona S5. I’ve always had bright colored cars in the past (red, white and blue, hah.) so shopping for wheel colors was relatively easy.

Decided to go with a Daytona car as I think it’s a GORGEOUS color and totally fits the car, but I’m having a really hard time deciding which color for wheels to go with. I’ve tried looking through threads but I really can’t find any real good photos of Daytona A5/S5/RS5’s with aftermarket wheels.

What do you guys think? If any of you have Daytona cars, post some images below to give me some ideas. I was thinking Carbon Graphite VFF 103’s but I’m not sure how that color would look with Daytona. I really don’t want to go black wheels as I think they blend in too much. But maybe some images would change my mind.

Any help is appreciated!! This is tough!

Good question. I did not want black for the same reason you noted. I ended up with silver because it's harder to be choosy when buying used with a modest budget but I think it'd look better if it were a light shade of gray.

Like you I was an anti-black wheel guy until I got my RS5 with black optics. Now I am a convert. That being said, here is are a couple of pictures of my old S5 (also Daytona) with the Niche DDT colour wheels which I think we're the perfect combo for Daytona.

The silver does look good, but I agree. I think something a little darker would fit it a bit more.

I'm a big fan of bronze wheels, and that is what I have on my black car, as I didn't want the wheels to get lost with the rest of the car. I still wanted it subtle, so I went with a darker bronze (my car):

I would have liked to have seen what AG's Brushed Grigio finish would look like on Daytona too. I don't know what gray this S4 is.

I am not a fan of black wheels or even dark wheels on dark cars. I do like silver wheels. However, you do believe in the wheels going with what you have and with the black optics, black wheels work. What I always do love are black/dark/grey centers with a polished lip. For me, on your car, that may be the ticket.

Looks like that might be quartz grey metallic? Possibly? Looks great with those wheels though.

I absolutely LOVE the BC Forged wheels in the first link you set. I think that would look absolutely stellar. I definitely do like the idea of a polished lip with dark centers. Thinking of doing something similar for my next set of wheels for my Miata as well.

Maybe a dark grey, sort of like the carbon graphite finish from Vorsteiner I was talking about earlier would be the ticket as well.

I'd still pick a bronze combo :

Brushed dark black. Looks a couple different colors in different light. By far my favorite on Daytona. Bc forged from mops. Little wait but worth it. Pull bronze sometimes black others gunmetal others.

These are my wheels (they have my name on them) in Stealth Grey, they would look good with Daytona if you paint the calipers in a good contrasting colour.

I think that would look pretty sweet too. I want to do yellow accents, so yellow calipers, replacing the red on the S5 badges with yellow, etc. etc. so I think that would work well.

Hey! I just joined but bought a 2015 Daytona Grey S5. I went for black rims and also the RS5 Grill. I like it but I also come from more colorful cars so will likely change it up again another time but for now, i think it looks great! could be lowered a bit.

Funny you say that. I've got matte black wheels on my Miata! Fits quite well. Maybe I'll just have to go for black again, considering I have black optics plus.
