2011 Audi A4 2.0t question

Should I buy a 2011 Audi A4 2.0t with 109k miles for 9k dollars, the car has no oil consumption problems the seller has all papers/receipts of the work it has gotten and most have been from Audi dealerships/ or certified mechanics, has new timing chain and tensioner applied along with a new water pump, no leaks and has clean title, the car is also well equipped with nav system and backup camera etc.

If the current owner has owned it for a few years then sounds like worth buying. If current owner has had it a year or less I would be skeptical. In either case, scan it for codes and emmission readiness and would be best to have it checked out at a audi/vw expert mechanic before buying. You really need to be sure it's as advertised. At this price its not getting sold any time quick so take your time and be certain of what you are buying. It is worth the price if it still checks out. Even though you have all this paperwork things can break at any time so I would have it inspected thoroughly. You are buying a car worth $5k Kelly blue book, but if it is mechanically updated as advertised I would say its worth 9k.

I agree with above. I thought price was a little high but price is very regional.
The unknown is the oil burning.
I'd be curious if it had a white or black top PCV.
I did t think white tops came stock till 2013 but I might be wrong.
If this is a white top then work has been done for oil consumption.
Other than that keep in mind it's an Audi with 100k on it. It's gonna have stuff go wrong..
Lots of resources here to help if you go forward with it.
Unfortunately no one can really tell you if you should buy it . Decision is yours.

Yea im taking both of your replies into consideration and I think price might be a regional thing because for kbb it tells me 6700-9800 for a 2011 a4 2.0t Quattro premium plus, but for example I seen one listed with blown out engine 09 a4 for 5k and then a 2010 a4 140k miles for 7600 and I know someone who payed around 5k for a 09 with 160k miles and not even spec’d out with features. I have seen out of state a4s that have wayy better prices than here where I’m from (Michigan)

well without getting flamed too much i think i can tell you stay far away from 09/10. general opinion is those are the worst of the worst of this generation of car. You would think the cars have been updated since then, but better to stay away if you can.

Oh ok I’ll for sure keep that in mind, I’m just trying to get a taste of what it is to have an Audi currently I daily a 2012 VW Passat 2.5l 5cyl 177k miles and I’ve had no major problems only problems was like a sensor going bad very very minor things.

Is there any correlation between a 2011 a4 and a 2012 Passat or completely different mechanical experiences?

im not familiar with the vw platform so can not comment.
With Audi the experiences for each owner tends to swing wildly. some say it is due to deferred maintenance but IMHO i think it is really tough to tell ..

it sounds like your candidate has been looked after

timing , oil consumption, water pump leaking are all high fail items that look like they have been sorted...

only other major one i would say is turbo waste gate pivot causing underboost codes
