    Haldex Failure? (8k miles)

I am hoping I could get some guidance with this.
I bought my second RS3 (both 2018s) on Monday after a long saga of issues with my first one, which I’ll try not to get into.

Long story short I’ve driven my new (used) car maybe 5 times and today, something immediately felt off. The car felt FWD.
Pulled off the road, scanned the car and I stumble onto this fault: IMG_5036.jpg
I will book a service appt with a local Audi dealership— but my last experiences were abysmal. How should I go forward from here, (am I screwed? do I try to return the car? Is it an easy fix?)
I don’t know much about the Haldex realm of these cars— only having mechanical experience with their dq500 unit.

As long as it hasn't been tuned dealer should fix no questions asked.

Seen this on the Golf Mk7 Rs. They use the ssme Haldex 5 as the RS3. Pump can fail as a result of poor Haldex fluid flow. There is a meah screen or filter that must be cleaned when doing a Haldex fluid change and most dealerships don't do this. This filter clogs so inadequate flow occurs and in some cases hurts the pre charge pump.

Right, but all that at 8k miles? The screen can't surely get clogged that early. Also the haldex service is at 40k miles I think.

Haldex is every three years, but they only specify to change the fluid, nothing about the pump/filter. I just changed mine at three years/24k ~10 days ago and the fluid was still golden and the screen was clear. Unless the car is absolutely beat on I don't see how clutch material buildup on the screen could cause a problem at 8k. Probably just a bad pump.

Depends how hard the car is driven. Is the car tuned?
