    Complete S4 B8.5 Interior to Avant B8

I know that there is info in the B8 Section but wanted to start a thread in the Avant section specifically. I have a 2012 S Line Ibis White with the Basic Black interior. I picked up a complete 2015 S4 Magma/Black interior. I had no issues with the door cards going in and they look great. I am waiting on new airbag plugs to come in to swap the front seats as I know they changed in 2013 according to the other thread. What I am struggling with is the Rear seat backs. I was told that that they would not just bolt in, being someone who occasionally needs to learn from experience I dropped the drivers side rear seat in and it Fit! However it seems to be locked... I cant release the back. Any other Avant owners converted to the S4 sport seats, the Q4Q code ones? What was your back seat solution.

You should transfer the S4 padding and leather cover onto your existing Avant rear backrest seat frames, so you retain your Avant seat release mechanism, which does not have a lock like those from sedans.

There is one floating around for the b6/b7 and is probably the same. I did it when putting sedan recaros in my avant.

Sedans usually have a locking mechanism for the rear Seats. Are you sure the latch is not locked?

I was able to move the lock and it was stuck, I wound up breaking the mechanism and pulled the plastic handle/lock out then used a screw driver to release it but still had to give the seat a good pop from the back to get it to move. I wound up taking it to an upholstery shop to let them switch the cover over and will use my avant seat back with release handle. Now I'm trying to sort out how to use the pass through instead of my original seat back. I really want to keep the pass through. I'm also trying to figure out the conversion of the B8.5 front seat to my B8 because of the airbag connector change in 2013,

I just did a full interior swap from a b8.5 s4 into my b8 avant without any modification other than swapping the gray modules under the passenger seat.
